Mari-Anu was amazingly helpful sorting us cheese and wine for the evening as the restaurant was closed. Nothing was too much trouble. A beautiful old building in a pretty village, great service and a comfortable stay

We absolutely loved every minute of Casa Rural from the excellent communication from Veronica in the lead up which made ensuring we had petrol, cash and firewood prepared for the stay easy.
The house is immaculately clean, beautifully cosy and ready for guests to relax immediately. The beds were such a thoughtful touch with blankets made up on all beds and extra in the cupboard. We really feel the cold and were warm our entire stay, even when temperatures plummeted across the mountains - snowing for an hour!
I highly recommend booking firewood for your stay, the house is delightfully cosy and warm at night. There is a lovely cat that comes to visit, she is extremely cuddly and friendly.
A fantastic restaurant 10 metres away with beautiful food and great atmosphere. The town is magically covered in artworks that we spent days exploring as well as the many beautiful white towns through the mountains.
Our kids were outside playing with local kids the entire time we were there - the playground / basketball courts are right next door. It’s very family friendly. Our dog had the best time ever and was welcomed.
The shower is a little difficult to use but for the price of the stay and the fact that we were given plenty of extra towels it wasn’t a problem.
We will absolutely be back to stay in this lovely rural house in the mountains.
Amazing views as it’s a village high in the Andalusian...
Amazing views as it’s a village high in the Andalusian mountains, lovely river close by the river Genal
Unfortunately there was hostility from the locals , tourism is not a big thing there and they seemed to not appreciate outsiders , we actually left every day rather than use the bars in the village . I understand that both my partner and I are heavily tattooed and had a huge Doberman with us but normally when travelling in Spain this is offset by the fact we both speak Spanish. Lots of other nice villages in Andalucía to spend our money and enjoy the normally friendly Spaniards .
