Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Mojacar is a medieval Moorish, town in the Spanish Province of Almería. This white-walled destination, which is situated on a rocky hillside at the foot of the Sierra de Cabrera, will surprise you with its natural beauty and unique architecture.

Very nice Spanish coastal area. The beach is looked after but it is a gritty sand. Softer sand in some areas tho. Buses seem to be frequent to other nearby coastal villages. The original village - Pueblo built high up in Mojacar mountains is very quaint & a delight to visit… the views from up there are amazing! Lots of cafes & restaurants in Mojacar. Lovely place to stay with lots of lovely eating places at reasonable prices. Lovely promenade about 2km long for daily strolls. Regular local bus service along the playa and up to the village. Very nice weather all year long with very little rain. Restaurants we went to were very good. Tasty meals and good value for money. Advise to book a table at Neptune and balti tower I I. Buses run often that will take you all along the coast of Mojacar. Mojacar is a very laid back and easy going seaside town (playa) with the older part of the town (pueblo) overlooking the sea. If you are looking for clean beaches and a bit of site seeing this is the place for you. There is plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Mojacar is a beautiful place , especially Mojacar pueblo. It’s very quirky with narrow cobbled streets and lovely little gift shop, restaurants and bars. We have eaten at many different restaurants but this last stay we ate at La Calenda and it was beautiful, service was good and food and drinks were excellent. Location was good with a view over the bottom square. We had drinks before at Time and Place, a cute little bar down one of the cobbled streets. They have lots of weekend entertainment now which is really good absolutely beautiful locations set right on the beach. I would recommend this to anybody looking to stay in Mojacar.
