The hotel was by the beach and it was super quiet. My room had a sea view and I slept with the sound of the waves. It was a great getaway for me.

After reading the reviews on Booking, I thought it would be a good hotel to visit during our trip. The hotel is on a charming small street, and it is waterfront. The days were very sunny and pleasant. It is located close to great Costa Brava hiking places and small towns. The restaurant manager is very passionate about his job and tried to remedy a few things that went wrong, see described below. The tall man at the reception was very attentive and explained to us how to find parking and buy swimsuits for the sauna. We enjoyed the sauna.

Location is close to beaches almost beachfront. There is a parking for the cars with a loot of shades. Supermarket in front and close to restaurants from beachfront.
Breakfast is good. And they have lunch and dinner for a good price (although I didn’t try it)
The surrounding location is peaceful (besides de bar in front of the hotel)
Room very clean and great staff

Platja d’Aro is very easy to access from the AP7 by road and is not far from Girona. It is modern and has a long sandy tree lined beach and also a very pretty smaller one. It has good shops and a nice variety of ones selling clothes. There are an excellent choice of restaurants with very good quality of food. Lots of places to sit outside enjoying tapas. One of my favourites on the Costa Brava.

I have had a property near to Platja D'aro for over 20 years and make regular visits always taking in Platja D'aro on a few occasions as it has a great choice of restaurants. It has a great water park for kids although it is a little expensive. If you are inclined to visit a little further afield there are many great beaches and small coves and restaurants that make the Costa Brava so exceptional but you do need a car. Taxis are expensive and public transport is almost non-existent

Loved the area, town was buzzing with lots of shops and restaurants and funfair. Very busy at the weekend, hard to a table in a restaurant without queuing.
Not very English oriented, not many English speaking people so be prepared to try to learn a bit of Spanish. Beach at Playa d'aro was coarse but with lots of water sports and restaurants on the promenade. Coast was gorgeous with lots of walks and coves to discover. Easy walk to S'agaro with nice small town and gorgeous sandy beach, lots of water sports.

Great restaurants with lots of choice, Mexican, Italian etc. The steaks were great.
In the Argentinian Steak House. Nice clothes shops. Also shops with normal sea side stuff. The road with shops etc is set back one line from main beach. There is a long main beach and also the small pretty cove we stayed in.

Perfect location in the center of the town and just 200m from the beach. Very nice and spacious appartment, comfortable beds, very efficient air condition. The appartments belong to a 4 star Park Hotel San Jorge so you get a 4 star hotel level of the accomodation (very clean, modern, all appliances on the good level etc). You can also use the hotel services during your stay if you wish (like swimming pool at the hotel for example).
Very close to the beach and also to the main shopping and restaurants street. Paid parking available. Amigable staff. Nice facilities overall for being 2 star hotel. Room has a balcony, AC, TV, small fridge, big size bed, safety box, etc. Free water to refill limitless. Sustainability oriented policies.
Friendly helpful staff, good food at breakfast and evening meal.
The bed was very comfortable, in a spacious room, with good sized ensuite with a jacuzzi bath.
The spa was s lovely way to relax after a long drive.
Lovely coastal walks straight from the hotel
