Been here for a longer period before Covid-19, after that half a dozen times on a holiday, and will keep on coming back as it a magnificent and friendly little Andalucian town. A hidden gem really. However if you have no knowledge of the language it may feel a bit challenging, there are not many foreign tourists.

Sanlucar is very atmospheric and we loved it just as much on this, our second visit. We particularly loved eating in the lively centre at the tapas restaurants.
Despite the lovely beach, when I booked this property I wanted one with a pool which this professed to be. Unfortunately the whole pool area was closed for the duration of our stay with no prior warning, which rather spoiled the experience. The owners apologised but no retribution was offered and despite putting this in my review of the property Booking.com seemingly did not care either.

Sanlucar de Barrameda is a charming historic town off the regular tourist route except for sherry afficionados or nature lovers due to the national park nearby. Dubbed the culinary capital of Spain for 2022, its profile is a bit more elevated. This little boutique hotel meets the raised profile of the town and is a beautifully designed renovation of a historic building. The grounds are lovely with a swimming pool in the courtyard, and the rooms are spacious, clean, with excellent bathrooms.
A great room with a spacious terrace that we enjoyed very much, relaxing and watching the storks flying overhead. Very comfortable and well equipped inside and set in a lovely building within easy walk of the beach and just behind the bars and restaurants of the Plaza del Cabildo. A good public car park just opposite. The rooms are fairly well soundproofed, but be aware that there are bars next to the hotel and general hubbub carries on to the early hours of the morning.
fabulous hotel which is so much more than a two star. Hotel is in a fabulous position in the main square with easy access to all the fabulous restaurants in Sanlucar.
Cadiz is within easy reach making for a fantastic day out. Staff are just wonderful and can help with recommendations and reservations. Breakfast was really fresh - good variety and lovely fresh orange juice. Loved it - volveremos!
Location was very convenient for walking around the centre. Everything was very clean. The hotel building is a lovely old Spanish house with a courtyard and plenty of charm
