Toledo is one of the most beautiful towns in the world.
Toledo is one of the most beautiful towns in the world. The historic centre is well-preserved and picturesque, with winding, narrow streets and stunning views. With so many historic sights to visit, I would recommend a longer stay. As a city of three cultures, must-see places are the two mosques (Mezquita de Tornería and Mezquita del Cristo de la Luz), two synagogues (Sinagoga de Santa María La Blanca and Sinagoga del Tránsito - a Sephardic Museum) and the Cathedral. If you like El Greco, you must visit his museum (Museo de El Greco), the church Iglesia de Santo Tomé with The Burial of the Count of Orgaz and the cathedral gallery. If you want to learn about Visigothic culture, don't miss the Museo de los Concilios y la Cultura Visigoda in the former church Iglesia de San Román. And there is much more. My favourite bar is on the small square Plaza Consistorio (take the street to the right of the town hall from where the tourists are taking photos of the cathedral). If you want to take photos of the old town, climb the hill across the river to one of the lookouts or take a taxi there.

Recomend to travel by train or bus. Parking is hard to find. If you drive, stay on the outskirts and you’ll avoid a headache, driving in circles or ending up on streets as wide as your vehicle ( f lucky). Driving there is not for the weak or inexperienced

A an excellent place to see Medieval Spain: the cathedral is breathtaking inside; the little squares throughout the city are lovely; and the you can find peaceful side streets to get away from the crowds on the main street. The only caution I have is driving and parking in the old part of town. The streets are quite narrow; you nearly brush the walls on both sides with the side mirrors. Parking can be scammed: apparently there are resident stickers for the very few spaces on the squares. We paid a supposed parking attendant, "Antonio," in cash; later, after we arrived home we got a parking ticket because we didn't have the necessary resident sticker.

We loved walking round and enjoying the atmosphere & the Christmas lights. My favourite place was the Manchego Cheese Museum where we had a lovely chat in Spanglish with the proprietors. I'm not a fan of El Greco but the house was interesting and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We were happy to discover the escalators in the city walls and a vegan restaurant.

Perfect stay and perfect host! I was provided with all information about Toledo - best places to eat, drink, walk and visit. Fast and supportive communication and willingness to help is what you always get here. The apartment is also amazing - renovated, provided with everything you need. It is located down the hill, but there is a mechanical stairs that can bring you up to Alcazar just in few minutes. And the advantage is that you live in a quiet and peaceful part of the city. So for me it was perfect.
The hotel is located at the edge of the old town and is relatively straightforward to access by car. Although the hotel offers paid parking €27 per night), we opted to park in the large free parking lot about 20 minutes walk outside the old town.
The hotel has an attractive interior with a restaurant and bar. There are also several lounge areas to si in.
The hotel was ain a fairly good location for the major sights in Toledo, although everything required a 10-15 minute walk go get there.
Beautiful location in the old town of toledo. Quiet and far from the touristic side. Very near to all that was needed. We had breakfat in the old town each morning and found great places to eat for dinner. The hotel is very comfortable and warm. Everything worked well and was very elegantly done. Importantly for us the bed was excellent!
We liked everything. The view, the pool, friendly personel who really helped us with the map, the towels, even gave me flip flops so i could go to the pool/ English breakfast was 5 stars. We had a comfort stay and Toledo will always be in our hearts.
