Affectionately known as 'The Grand Old Lady' of Suva, the faithfully restored Grand Pacific Hotel was built in 1914. It boasts free WiFi, 5 restaurants, 3 bars, a day spa and a fitness centre.

The property is well-maintained, with everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. What stood out the most was the staff—everyone was always ready to help with a smile.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool with sun terrace, Five Princes Hotel is a boutique retreat set on 1 acre of tropical gardens. The hotel’s restaurant offers views over Suva Harbour and Beqa Island.

Was only here overnight for a quick layover but not great for me (might be different for others needs). Staff weee friendly and helpful on the whole, but issues were: 1. Long uphill concrete path to get to reception and then stairs up, and then stairs down to burees in the back (hard if you have a bad back like me given no lifts!) 2. Used my Amex (and it worked) only to be told they don’t accept as fees to high and took half an hour for reception to cancel, reissue 3. Promised guard would come at 6am sharp to help with my bags for aotport transfer but never came (till I tracked him down, then very helpful). 4. Fan didn’t turn off so I had to remove key so there wasn’t any power (but then shower was cold in am so perhaps they’re using individual water heaters not town water….i don’t know) It’s about 30 min from airport and close to Suva but limited ok places near airport and nice places are further (on the water) so you still might find this suits.

Completely refurbished in 2019, including all guest rooms and public areas, Tanoa Plaza features rooms with lovely harbour or city views and is only 700 metres from Suva Harbour.

We had an exceptional stay at the Tanoa Plaza Hotel. The staff were warm, and welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The rooms were immaculate, modern, and beautifully appointed. The amenities were top-notch, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommend.

Suva is much bigger than Nadi, of course more caotic! It is nice to visit and explore other than the west of Fiji so I recommend to come to the east, even if there is no much to do in Suva, just to travel to Vanua Levu and Taveuni!

If you are looking sand and surf don't go to Suva.

If you are looking sand and surf don't go to Suva. Suva is a bustling city and finding parking is impossible sometimes. Take buses and taxis. If I were vacationing I would only stay a day or two. Nice coffee shops and restaurants abound here. Try Fijian, Indian, Chinese food. The main market is full of island fruit and vegetables. The museum is a place to see and learn a little of the history and culture.

We knew ahead but went when Miss Hibiscus was on point and city was chocker blocks alongside many other big events that happen to be on at same time but that’s just suva coming alive during its peak of events. Traffic was crazy and town was full full .. just goes to show how much Suva has to offer in a good way.. but If you like your peace and quiet.. see what’s on in suva city before making your bookings. Weather is forecast as wet as always but hey, it’s Suva city.. such is life! Live in the moments

The main city centre with people asking for money was annoying. Brother was robbed by two young men when he was walking back up to Yatu. He’s 70 years old. We were there for purpose of erecting a tomb stone for great grandparents. Excellent help from birth deaths n marriages suvavou house, corrections officers for the cemetery and the Fiji National Archives library. The taxis were great.

Suva is very busy but a vibrant city.

Suva is very busy but a vibrant city. I heard lot of stories about robberies so be careful when travelling or shopping. Phone and bag snatching is common! But it can be fun if you are alert and careful.

This is a high quality business and pleasure hotel located centrally in Suva and an ideal base for the discerning traveler. The food is high quality, the staff very friendly, the Internet fast, and the beds comfortable - there's a lot to like. The breakfast buffet was the first that I've struck in the region that starts to approach other parts of the world for quality and variety.

A perfectly tolerable--if you are budget-minded--2-star hotel that happens to offer what I believe to be some of the best views in all of Suva from the rooms with windows facing the port. Each day I spent a few minutes at the window observing the hills, the ships, the tide and the weather. I got a kitchen sink and a large counter--which was convenient for sorting stuff.

Great space to spend time in Suva. The apartment is really well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen was great for prepping some meals at home. Lots of thoughtful touches. The owners were lovely and very quick to reply to any messages and check in was very easy. The location is quiet but close enough to Suva central.
