visitHOMES is a wonderful home base for exploring Eysturoy (and the other islands if you aren't worried about the tunnel tolls!) Staying here is more like staying with a relative. We had great chats over a lovely breakfast, plus opportunities to get to know our host and more about Faroese culture. You really are being invited into Lilja's home rather than a hotel. The bathroom was shared, but that was never a problem for us. Our room had a beautiful view over the neighborhood and across the water.

First off, the location was superb, slightly elevated and ability to walk down to main street area in about five minutes. Bed very comfortable, place was spacious, and kitchen well supplied. The house has some personality as well, with original art which I am always drawn to. I also liked the map of the Faroe Islands displayed under glass at the kitchen table. And the hostess, Sabrita (? spelling) was gracious and warm. Probably the only criticism was that the bath towels were very rough. Besides that, I liked the place very much would recommend and certainly stay there again.

It is a very spacious, clean and charming cottage with an awesome view of the harbor! There is a lot of space for our group. The place was very clean. We also liked having the washer in a good size laundry room and an extra bathroom. It’s within walking distance to town and the jetty to catch the ferry. It felt like living in a home. We enjoyed our stay here!

Klaksvik is beautiful place to be in. We had a wonderful time at the flat and the host is very helpful and responsive at anytime. The flat has everything you need to either cook a delicious meal or clean yourself up. The other facilities, like lighting(both inside and outside), TV and network are perfect too. It is a great and super clean flat to stay in. I would stay here again if I visit Klaksvik next time.

Appartment has everything and is wel equipped. All clean on arrival. City Center is only 5 - 10 minute walk
The appartment is at the bottom level of the house so sometimes there is noise coming from the appartment at the top level

The breakfast buffet was a little spartan, but we were the only guests so perhaps it is better when the hotel is busier.
This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free Wifi. The vacation home includes 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, and a microwave, as well as a coffee machine.

For us, Leirvik was a base from which to explore other areas. We enjoyed the quiet location and water views but didn't spend time in town. Leirvik doesn't have restaurant options but that was fine with us as we prepared our own meals. We did dine one evening at the Gjaargardur Guesthouse in Gjogv, which is about 45 minutes away by car, and highly recommend that restaurant.
