Double room with french doors out onto a small patio. Travelling off peak, late in the season so it was easy to find parking outside. Breakfast was fresh baked goods and plenty of coffee. We stayed just one night but would come back again for the location. Comfortable bed.

Cap Ferret still has some degree of old-world charm as a sea-side resort, and has not been over-developed. Working fisherman's huts, and holiday beach shacks can still be found, and it looks very much as I remembered it on my first visit 20 years ago. To get to it you have a 40 minute drive around the bay - past some crowded beach parks and caravan parks - or you take the ferry from Arcachon, which is smarter but much more developed as a resort. Cap F erret is much more low-key.

What a place. Awesome.
What a place. Awesome. We went out of season so a lot of things weren’t open. But also we didn’t have to contend with lots of tourists.
It’s so beautiful.
Well worth a trip.
L’herbe area … stunning.
Easy to get around by car or cycle or walk.
Fab place.

Liked · the apartment was great, perfect size and very clean. It was also easy to access everything from our place and was extremely peaceful.
Disliked · The restaurant was the worse part about this lovely location, for the price you pay for the food I would expect it to be better than something a four year old could of put together. Tasteless, bland and wetter than an otters pocket, which turned out to be a blessing as the water we politely asked for ( four times ) never actually appeared. I put it down to possibly lacking of staff due to covid but who knows. Also we couldn’t use half of the spa facilities due to the situation and the other half was required to walk around with a mask on...so not the most comfortable but acceptable for the circumstances.

It is a lovely place to enjoy natural settings.
It is a lovely place to enjoy natural settings. The ocean and it's wild beaches take you in a whole other dimension. I could stay and watch the ocean for days.. It's that mesmerising. Also the fishing villages near by are nice to visit, maybe have something local to eat. You can rent a bycycle to make the tour of the island. The people are friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location in nature / forest with birds singing all around. The lodge with terrace give a great camping feeling, offer great privacy and at the same time all hotel-level facilities are available. Large and fully equipped kitchen. Nice table outside. Very good restaurant with nice options for lunch and dinner. Bike rental option and bike paths all around.
Fantastic location, staff all super friendly and it is a nice quiet hotel, super relaxed place. We flew into Bordeaux, hopped on the train and then the little ferry across the Basin, the hotel is just a pleasant stroll along. Great vibe!
Stunning location 100 metres from the beach. Very friendly staff. Hotel is exactly as it sets out to be. No airs, no graces, precisely in line with expectations, in fact better
