Isabelle the owner was very warm and welcoming. When we arrived on our motorbikes, she came out to advise us to park our bikes in a different part of the parking area which wasn’t visible from the street. We were very happy with her advice and hospitality. We had three rooms which were arranged around a courtyard area. The rooms were spacious and very clean. We all agreed that the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet area and it is within easy walking distance of the old town of Parthenay. The hotel has a restaurant for evening meals. As we only stayed for one night we wanted to walk into town to explore. So, we didn’t get a chance to try the evening meals. When we got back from our walk we sat on the terrace overlooking the pool to enjoy a couple of drinks from the hotel bar. We really enjoyed our stay.

The receptionist waitress and I suspect Manager spoke the most beautifully clear slow French which made everything clear and gave me the illusion my French was better than it is. Very charming and great evening meal. Water in the shower in the morning was little better than tepid
