A very warm welcome after a long drive and it was great to be able to go straight to our room and then straight to the pool. Dinner was lovely and great to be able to know it was sorted. Lovely to have a large space for the kids to run around in after a day in the car. The cats charmed the kids as well.

This really is a little treat that is hard to share. It is a tadge tricky to find so phone navigation is crucial (my car satnav gave up) but once there, how lovely. Pascal has gone to great lengths to create a stunning place to stay, working with the richness of the historic heritage of the building and his own good taste. His hospitality is old school without the incumbent stuffiness - glass of local Vouvray is offered if you reserve the evening meal; candles are lit in the glorious dining room, decorated with displays of flowers from the garden; breakfast trays laid with tray cloths; homemade food of a high standard as Pascal is a pastry chef. I have stayed twice - both bedrooms were comfortable and stylish.
