I thought I'd already given a review for this hotel but here we go again. The hotel is amazing and I'd definitely come back! I am on a solo motorcycle trip, so parking is a big issue and they have a gated, private parking lot (uncovered) right around the corner. Perfect. The room was very modern with a hot water pot, great bed, very nice bathroom & shower. Loved it!
The breakfast in the morning was one of the best I've had with hot & cold offerings, fresh orange juice, and a great coffee machine.
The Grand Hotel is located in the heart of the thermal town of Dax, in the Landes region. It offers air-conditioned accommodations with free Wi-Fi internet access.

The staff at reception was kind, helpful, and I could comunicate with them in english and spanish. The staff at restaurant and cafetería didn’t speak other languages but they were kind and trying to communicate (except for one man at the restaurant that was a bit rude). I could park my car for free in the street and I could see it from the window 🙂. Anyway, the streets around looked very safe. I also could wash and dry my clothes in the laundry room that they share with another hotel. Wash+Detergent+Dry = 6,5 euros. Breakfast was normal. The best thing was fresh nice bread and very good mermelades.

I only arrived in Dax at 11 PM on a Tuesday and was happy to find a bar open to grab a beer. Just staying for the night, but walked the old city the following day to get a glimpse. I could have stayed in this lovely little city for a day with its historical vibe. Lots of spa and wellness facilities, if you're into that.
The hotel is perfectly located. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Spa center with swimming pool, hammam, floating, sauna and delicious tea is simply magnificent, but available only for an additional fee. It was free for the residents of the hotel before the covid, so be careful when booking a room. It was very good that there were few people in the spa. Massages, spa rituals and visit to spa center must be booked in advance.
The hotel is located in the centre of the town; it was fairly easy to find.
It has its own car park on site. The reception staff were friendly.
The room was spacious, comfortable with good facilities.
The breakfast was buffet style with a good choice.
This hotel was PERFECT for what we wanted . . . a clean comfortable place to stop on route to Spain.
Beds were super comfy and the secure parking was less than 100yds away ... 10/10 all round !
