Have stayed quite a few times here as its convenient from Cherbourg. Always a nice welcome from the staff. Comfy bed and everything clean and an excellent dinner. Was chilly in our room until we discovered the heater wasn't on, afterwards fine. We went down to breakfast around 7.30 the next morning to find there were slim pickings as a coach load of Brits had just left. Staff were concentrating on clearing tables but seemed to be a bit slow in replenishing the food.

The location was excellent within a short walk to the town and all the shops and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent , fresh fruits and plenty to eat .There was a shared kitchen on the same level as the bedrooms.Charles was perfect host and his home was like stepping back in time. The bedroom was enormous with a comfortable bed and plenty of comfortable seating. There was a large bathroom. The views from the room were wonderful. There is also secure parking which was a bonus.

It is a very good countryside hotel - very spacious, clean bathrooms. The host was exceptionally welcoming and the breakfast had a good variety (ham/cheese/youghurts/etc). There is a park and children playground, as well as many other commodities for young children (high chairs, toys, tables, etc). We also had access to a kitchen & a kettle/coffee making - it was a pleasant surprise (and we really needed that after a long drive during the day).

This is a beautiful and well equipped apartment in an absolutely superb location. Everyone we met was super friendly. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to self-cater well (including a good sharp chef’s knife). Very convenient for the Caen ferry and with a supermarket and a good boulangerie within walking distance, it is very peaceful and calm with a view from the window of horses and their foals in the field.

Nicely decorated. Good size. Enough equipment.
Comfortable double bed and settees. Warm enough.

Arriving on a Sunday we didn’t get to see the town in its best light, however it was evident there was plenty of history and interesting places to visit for historians. We were disappointed that the museum was not open on a Monday.

The museum telling the story of French civilians during WWII - very moving. You could buy an English handheld that gave you all the information although the exhibits were in both French and English.
William The Conqueror Castle - again an excellent exhibition in both French and English. Handheld tablet let you see all the rooms as they would have been used and there were holograms of the historical kings and queens who had lived there.

It is situated a short walk from town centre, as expected.. about 10 -12 minutes from restaurants and bars, but we knew that in advance. We were welcomed by Eric and shown to our bedroom. He helpfully provided information about Falaise town and restaurants etc, the breakfast in the morning was outstanding, extensive, plentiful and delicious.
Loved everything.
We felt very lucky to be staying here.
Falaise is much more interesting than we expected and being able to stay in this wonderful house is a great bonus.
It's called "Castel" but it's a beautiful house with spectacular rooms.
Bill the Conk's castle is 10 minute's walk away. Now that's a "Castle".
We stopped here on the way to Cherbourg. We received a very warm welcome, the hotel is perfectly suited close to the town centre but in a very quiet spot and the room was very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Very clean. Most furnishings very good. Interesting decor.
Garret apartment in very old house.
Close to centre of Falaise.
It would have been very good value if it were really suitable for four adults.
We were with a group of classic car people. We liked the hotel because parking was good and we could walk into town. The room was a good size and the bathroom was good.
