United StatesHave you ever been invited to the beautiful villa of a French friend? That’s what this magical home feels like, except the lovely hosts speak English perfectly. You feel the rich character and past of the home with every step, and the wonderful hosts have filled it with special touches that feel very South of France. This includes pretty linen drapes, fun and whimsical wallpaper, stylish pillows and all the comforts that will make you feel like a valued guest—coffee and tea service in your room, yummy little mints, and a welcome drink. Breakfast is very generous and delicious—all tasty local provisions. If you book a room with a view, you will look out on the sunny garden and canal and perhaps a sleeping cat or two. But none of the rooms will disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Homps is a lovely French canal side village with an excellent hotel, Le Jardin d’Homps, and a number of other accommodations types available to suit all budgets. This is our 5 visit. There are a number of restaurants to choose from together with a gift shop/small general store and a wine merchant that does wine tasting events. The main shop/petrol station has recently been extended and modernised. It is very well stocked and has been run by the same friendly French family for a number of years. There is a large church in the centre of the village and a smaller church, that often hosts art exhibitions, on the way out toward Azile. It’s a 15 minute walk to the lake, or a short drive to the lakeside carpark, where there are many water activities available as well as a nice cafe.Guest review byPamelaUnited Kingdom - Review score10.0

Wonderful hotel, very helpful hosts, accommodation excellent, pet friendly too. We did some fishing, wished we could have caught more !!! Very tranquil setting, and restaurants either side of our accommodation were excellent. Only one disappointment was a restaurant called "La Peniche", would never go again, kept us waiting an inordinate amount of time between courses and food was not good either. The restos to visit, En Bonne Compagnie, La Foudre, and La Rive Gauche. Variety of choices and all have excellent food.Guest review byChrissieFrance

Our bedroom was extremely comfortable, well decorated and a very good size, with an excellent bathroom and shower. Far better than in more expensive hotels we've stayed in recently. The garden and pool were delightful, and the hosts extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed being in the quiet village of Homps with some excellent canal-side restaurants.
