Since we had to drive to Le Domaine de l'Hostellerie from Caen, we were a bit concerned that the location was remote from nearby cities. However, after settling down, we were very happy with the peaceful setting, beautifully decorated rooms. The breakfast spread was very generous with all sorts of bread, croissants, crepe, charcuterie selections. The hosts are a nice young couple and they made us feel very welcomed. They recommended we dine at Le Comptoir restaurant (20 min away). I'm glad we did because we got to see Juno beach (one of the D-Day beaches) . Such a personable experience vs staying at a hotel.

Property is small but clean, great location, very nice staff starting time the reception and housekeeper. The staff are friendly and helpful. Ludivina and Katherine are very helpful. The housekeeper that help us was also very accommodating but did not get her name sins we were running late from checking out. The breakfast was good and clean. Place is close to downtown and Caen memorial and to other tourist spots. The room is small but the water pressure was really nice

Perfectly clean, comfortable, nice staff, everything was amazing. Room was spacious and no problems at all. I especially appreciated the lady in the evening when we arrived. I was talking in french and she recognized I was not native, but that I had no big problems speaking and she continued speaking french. Great staff is worth gold.

Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! The property is located near the Normandy beaches. The staff was incredible, the rooms are beautiful and you cannot beat the price!

The most pleasant surprise in our month long road trip in France. Blissfully quiet little town; impeccable, well appointed, large room with very comfy bed. Recently renovated facilities with no shortcuts. Lots of on-site free parking. Céline and Isabelle at reception provide a friendly and efficient welcome. Great breakfast.

We booked this place the same day…even with short notice the booking was accepted and we got there Before check in time was finished. Also there was another check in time written on the gate that was one hour later than when we arrived but not one person answered the gate, the phone, the buzzer at the entrance, and horn when we honked… nothing. We were literally in the middle of no where stuck without a reservation and it was late which was also making it difficult. But if you are not wanting to accept people after a certain time you should NOT allow for a booking. It was really a BAD SITUATION and we only managed to find some thin because the other place had a late dinner and answers the phone but usually do not answer at that time. We also 3 times as much but we had no choice and it was a great stay at the other place but out of our budget. But as we were desperate it was literally the Only thing to do… I really cannot believe this could happen. I advise to AVOID this place at ALL COSTS! It was really unacceptable and unbelievable that someone could accept a booking and have check in written until a certain time and not honor it at all! We were literally stranded and really worried because nothing was around and open! Terrible terrible situation and I wish they just didn’t accept bookings after a certain time if they wish to not honor checking a booking on this platform until then! Terrible service, terrible situation they could have Easily been avoided! So very annoying and dangerous to be without a place to sleep in the middle of no where! If you want to risk not being let in, book this place… otherwise find a SECURE place that doesn’t mess around with you and your safety!

The restaurant has very high level meals. We savoured our meals and delighted over the flavor combinations.

The view, the staff and the food at the hotel restaurant was awesome including the €10 (each person paid in advance) breakfast was delicious! It’s a very cozy hotel. Stairs to get to the room. We had medium size suitcases and it was very doable, possibly a little more challenging with a big suitcase. Overall we loved the place and wish we stayed more than one night.
