We visited with our two children. It was a wonderful stay all around. We did not find every place in France to be welcoming of our young children, but the hotel and it's staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and smiled / interacted with the kids. Unfortunately, this is not a common practice in Paris / Nice despite people claiming families are welcome. We sat at the hotel bar one afternoon waiting for our ride back to the train station (which the hotel completely arranged) and the bartender was particularly good with the kids. We' d have no hesitation staying here again!

Nice is a great location for Art museums Matisse / Chagall, Vence Chapel, Picasso Museum, and superb
access to the whole stretch of the French Riviera via coastal rail route.
It’s a safe accessible, and walkable city - the mix of
the old town, beach and cosmopolitan streets is a wonderful collage of old and new.
Restaurants are numerous and the better ones require
early access or booking, but service is friendly and
efficient.

I explored the city on foot a lot, although it is convenient to do so also with the trams and buses. The public transport tickets can be loaded on an app on Android devices, or you could also buy a card for that (which costs 2 Euros). Sadly for me, the facade of the iconic Hotel Negresco was under repair work at the time of my visit, and the castle hill was also closed. But there was still quite a lot to see and experience. I'd have to go again as I couldn't see everything in the short time that I was there.

It is always cheering to arrive off the plane to a beautiful sunny blue sky in the Cote d'Azur after the gloom of Northern Europe! A quick tram ride gets you direct from the airport to the centre of town with lots of activities even out of season, while the Promenade des Angles is always a pleasure to stroll along admiring the sea view and all the characters who parade along it. An evening sunset, with planes taking off in the distance adds to its magic.

We first visited Nice in August 2024 during the Jazz Festival, we came back for Christmas & New Years, swimming everyday! Back again for a long weekend in March.
Friendly people, great choice of wonderful restaurants, many venues for live music including the Cafe du Palais for live jazz/blues every night from 6pm with a good food menu.
Convenient to walk most places with great scenery but also convenient bus, trams or taxis to get you around.
The art galleries and museums are brilliant.
Convenient access to fast trains to visit Monaco, St Paul de Vence and so many other historical towns. Foundation Maeght is a must see in St Paul de Vence.
In Nice you have the Matisse museum, Chagall... new things to discover every time.
Sea, history, ballet, jazz, art, good food what's not to like?

this was the highlight of our stay in France! Fabio was by far the best host. All his recommendations for Nice were perfect and all though our stay was only 3 days, we managed to squeeze in almost all of the sight seeing in that time. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms comfortable, clean and the coffee machine in the room and croissant we received every morning a lovely touch.
Excellent locations. Very close from Nice-Ville train station and less then 10 min.
by walk. Receptions are very helpful and kind (Expecially Reception Maria and lady who work in breakfast room as I know Chef) . Hotel was very generous (for water anytime)This hotel we want a give rate more than 5 stars REALLY!!!
Excellent hotel. Lovely staff, great sized bedroom and bath. We were delighted with everything. Yann is a delight and a fountain of information on where to go in Nice. This is now our go to place when arriving or departing France 😊
Excellent location on the edge of Nice old town, close to the port and park, lots of bars and restaurants nearby (plus one in the hotel itself), and easy access by tram from Nice airport. Quirky decore and welcoming staff.
