Planfoy – 2 hotels and places to stay

A good location for a relaxing stay in Planfoy, La Fortance Paradis Naturel - Proche de la ville is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the mountain.

Super views and facilities with many look out points, alpaca's were fun. The breakfast was the best we've had on booking.com with many pancakes and natural sauces from the jardin and excellent coffee ☕. Super friendly 3 dogs who are really happy to see guests which was a treat too

Great place for hikers or people wanting somewhere to...

Great place for hikers or people wanting somewhere to hideaway. I think they also offered yoga sessions (and possibly meditation/massages) when booked in advance. Its a stunning location and a really quirky complex. We went at the end of summer when it was a little cooler and perfect weather to explore the surrounding forests and the stunning lake. I would imagine it is also gorgeous in high summer or deep winter too. The host is wonderful and I can't fault her. She is quirky and extremely hospitable. I only wish I could speak French to converse more with her! The room we stayed in was a cool design, the sort of thing you could find in magazines or on instagram and the bed was comfortable. There were all the comforts we needed ie. soap, clean linens, towels and the room came quipped with a small electric heater. I would recommend taking your own food or asking her to cook for you (at an extra cost) because the town is a bit far away and across wind-ey narrow paths through the national park. Don't rely on being able to 'pop out' to grab some food, the place really is hidden in the middle of the forest! Also recommend taking comfortable shoes for walking/hiking and/or a car to go further afield.
