The room was like one from Bridgerton- it was a complete dream. 18 foot ceilings, old paintings on the wall, and large windows open to the sound of birds chirping. It was absolutely my favorite stay. The owner was so passionate about the property, and he outlined the walking paths around the property with details on who the people were imspirations to the castle. It was so magical!!!

We had a very nice stay. It was the first night of our vacation and it set the week off on a very good foot. The hotel was comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was nice and clean and had plenty of light. We slept well and breakfast was good. I would have like to be able to stay in Loudun a bit longer, but I will consider L'etape as a base for my next visit to the Loire region.
