Strange and unusual rooms in a cave carved into a cliff. Breakfast in the room was an option which was nice. Also a swimming pool in a cave!

Comfortable, quirky, characterful, and in a wonderful location. Clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen, and bathroom. Great WiFi and TV for those evenings in. A nearby cafe for evenings out. Exceptionally helpful host. Great bedrooms, as long as you can climb steep steps to the one upstairs. Nice little terrace. Convenient parking nearby. Simply lovely.

Close to the centre of Saumur, the hotel Anne D'Anjou is overlooking the river and has a view of the chateau above.

Great location, easy parking. Loire on one side and chateau on the other. Opted for the chateau view at small supplement. Large room, superking size bed, dark and peaceful for a good night’s sleep. Easy walk to restaurants. Would definitely stay again

🤩 Perfect hotel , staff were extremely helpful. About 20 mins for us to walk over the two bridges into town . Thanks to Anthony ( advice on wine) also to Marion and. A great breakfast !

One of my favourite stays of the trip. The entire space was so beautifully and minimally furnished, letting the history of the space speak for itself. The staff was amazing and so helpful and the room was super comfortable! We also loved the delicious dinner basket at 35 EUR that was provided by the onsite restaurant, a great way to experience the Michelin star kitchen in a casual and accessible way. The highlight was the essentially private access to the Abbey and the grounds after hours. It was such a memorable and special experience and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would have! Highly recommend this stay, it's one of a kind!

Beautiful chateau full of heritage. Very lovely staff. Interiors of the chateau were well preserved and filled with character. The bed was really comfortable and we slept very well. Lift available for convenience.
