Very quaint and small town where all the locals know and...
Very quaint and small town where all the locals know and trust each other. We were warmly welcomed into the only pub in the village. The village was very quiet save the sheep or occasional car driving through. Great area to go out walking yourself or with a dog, bring wellies or walking boots for the muddy paths! Fantastic location, fabulous food, good bar and nice comfy rooms. Regulars at the Inn seem to forget some people there are on holiday and paying to stay there as they can be rude in their manner. Additionally some of the older staff do seem to give regulars preferential treatment when waiting at the bar or taking food orders. The pub is the only place in the village that's not...
The pub is the only place in the village that's not residential. It is very rural with sheep grazing in the street (plus droppings). Practically no street lighting at night. Decent walks from the front door of the Inn, though when you're used to the Highlands the North York Moors are a bit bleak.Guest review byGordonUnited Kingdom
