The location is ideal being very central in Hawes, the food in the bar and at breakfast was wonderful. Room and amenities were great and the staff at The Fountain Hotel go above and beyond.

Start of the Spine North so this location could not have been better as I was running this. Decent room, good food and exactly as required for the night before a big race

I did much walking across fields and local roads, as I'm a very keen amateur photographer, and couldn't get enough of all the local beautiful views. I eat out 3 times at local places, only a short drive away. Found it easy to get around Bainbridge with either walks or short car journeys. The only problem I had with the journey there and journey back was the A1. On the journey there this problem caused me hours delay but the journey home it was a matter of 10 to fifteen minutes. If you do this journey on the A1 and that road closure is not going on your journey would probably be straight forward. I was just unlucky.

Delightful location, easy to walk around the village and handy for Hawes and Leyburn. We ate at the local pub which was not a great experience - very average food, but charming staff. Much better facilities in Hawes.

Bainbridge has its own quiet charm, and there are pleasant walks on the doorstep, but it's also well located in the midst of the dale, with interesting places (the Dales museum and Wensleydale cheese centre at Hawse, Bolton Castle and the Aysgarth Falls) to visit in either direction. Little choice of evening dining (especially in the early part of the week) but it's close to a decent range of pubs in other villages, and has an excellent cafe for daytime eating.

Delicious food and very friendly staff Even offered to go to the butcher on the last day to get us something that was nt on the menu if we wanted(there was plenty to choose from on the menu so it was nt necessary)
Fresh towels every day
Lovely old building right in the heart of the village.
Unfortunately whoever does the cleaning needs to go to specsavers as our room had a lot of dust and cobwebs plus the windows were wedged/painted shut.
Crockery and cutlery not always very clean - specsavers again!!

We loved our stay at Riverside. The rooms are small but cosy, very clean and beautifully presented, while the communal area has a lot of personality. Roxanna the host was lovely, offering tips for walks and cooking us a delicious breakfast that set us up for the day. Bainbridge is a pretty village and an ideal location for some stunning walks.
From the pre arrival information to the check out it was perfect. For the price it’s unbelievable. In our vast experience of small hotels/ guest houses this is one of the very best. The decor is wonderful and the breakfast is superb. We were in the storehouse and it was a very generous sized room.
Millies breakfasts are second to none, a friendly atmosphere and you will not find anywhere cleaner. The location is perfect for visiting most of the Dales attractions and Bainbridge is a lovely village.
The Hazel Roost is a lovely B&B in the a beautiful village of Bainbridge in heart of the Yorkshire Dale’s and is run by lovely lady so what’s not to like we would’nt hesitate going back.
