The food looked great but the accommodation was very poor and we decided to carry on our journey

Restaurant and cleaning staff lovely and very pleasant, front desk staff at hotel were abrupt and rude. When checking in I felt extremely targeted and treated poorly, my children were not welcomed and this was felt by all. Let a beautiful hotel down not being welcomed appropriately.

Balloch is a good place to visit. It is situated on the River Leven which runs into Loch Lomond. In the summer there is boat trips up the Loch with beautiful scenery. Car journeys round the Loch and a gate way to the best of Scotland.

Balloch is a quiet little town at the head of Loch Lomond...
Balloch is a quiet little town at the head of Loch Lomond with a number of bars, restaurants and cafes. There is a very good shopping mall and visitor experience centre at Lomond Shores, just a short walk or a 2 minute drive away. There are bus and train stations with access to Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond. Balloch Park is huge and the area is well known among walkers and cyclists. Boat trips along the loch are available from the centre of the town. There are 2 very good fish and chip shops, a McDonalds, various Indian, Italian and Chinese restaurants and take aways. A great place for day trippers and holidaymakers alike.

I loved the peaceful cosiness of the lodge and how clean it was. I would definitely go again but I do feel it was overly expensive considering it didn't have extra add ons like a hot tub or provided shampoo/conditioner/body wash gestures and for it being off peak I think it could have been a bit cheaper.

Situation and friendly staff but too much media intrusion...
Situation and friendly staff but too much media intrusion for my liking which may have infiltrated the electric lighting.Option to be totally free of TV would have been welcome but no desire to force my own preferences on other visitors

What an amazing place.
What an amazing place. I arrived by train I just crossed the road and was greeted by beautiful scenery with lots of boats on the water some of which did cruises around the loch. Lots of parks and woods to walk around all easy accessible. The park around balloch castle is stunning. I stayed at the Balloch inn right on the loch with great views and great food, very welcoming(even had a little doggy station in inside the door with towels and water bowels) can’t wait to visit again!

My booking was done at the last minute as my previous accommodation had fell through and it was after 9pm when I arrived at the hotel,The staff were very welcoming, the room was really clean and very nicely decorated. shower was lovely once I figured how to use it.The hotel is a five minute walk from balloch Station and a short walk walk from Loch lomond which has a small shopping area.
I would stay again next time I'm in balloch.
Everything about the hotel and the facilities were top class. Excellent service from all the staff in the hotel and they were all very polite and helpful.
The room was super comfy and very spacious. The Grill restaurant for dinner was great and very tasty food. Breakfast served in the Grill in the morning was unbelievable, one of the best I’ve had.
A night away to remember after asking my girlfriend to marry me.
Nicely located hotel with adjacent Marston Inns pub providing us with dinner and breakfast. The location enables exploration of the southern end of Loch Lomond which is a very pretty waterfront area with scenic views and some nice walks. We only stayed for one night but had an enjoyable walk around the park and waterfront area.
The room is similar to a Travelodge standard, comfortable, warm and well-equipped.
Top class staff, super location.
Beautiful hotel in the centre of balloch. Very clean, warm and modern. Food and drinks top class. We would stay again just for the staff and management alone, superb hospitality, laughs and that wholesome friendly local welcome you come to expect from a small town stay. Thanks to all the staff at Loch Lomond Hotel.
Location location location! Can’t get better. Right in the heart of balloch next to train station and bus stop. Great place to stay. Clean and everything you could need. Owner was really accommodating and very helpful. Can’t go wrong booking here.
