It was clean and beds comfortable but wouldn’t come again because of the smell from the cooking in the cafe below the grease smell made me feel very sick

Blue Bell Hotel features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Belford. Offering a bar, the property is located within 9.1 km of Bamburgh Castle.

On arrival I found that the hotel was closed, and had been for months according to the bar man in the pub over the road. WHY ARE BOOKING.COM STILL SELLING ROOMS HERE WHEN IT IS CLOSED INDEFINITELY!!! I could not find any other accommodation locally so was forced to drive back home again late last night and also forfeit my place in today's Bamburgh cycling sportive, which was the whole reason for my booking in the first place. Not happy and best part of £80 out of pocket (wasted fuel and bike ride entry fee) which booking.com should compensate me in my opinion.

Offering a garden and garden view, Farneholm is set in Beadnell, 8.5 km from Bamburgh Castle and 21 km from Alnwick Castle. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi.

It’s a comfortable warm airy house in a stunning location looking over a beautiful bay where you can watch the sea rolling in and out from the bedroom window and there are plenty of seabirds to spot from the front bedroom too. Pubs and restaurants are within 10-15 minutes walk, as are the beaches. There’s a sheltered platform at the back of the house where you can sit and relax. Beds and sofas are comfortable. There are two clean bathrooms. Lovely stay.

Beautiful little village with many small independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Fantastic sandy beaches and dunes. A lovely place to stay for a summer holiday, a short break or to stop for the night on the England Coastal Path.

Bamburgh is a quintessential Northumbrian village, with access to one of the best beaches in the UK. The North sea is a deep blue and inviting for the old water swimmers out there. With Holy Island visible from the beach it has timeless feel. There are four places to eat and drink and a couple of good cafes, so if you need a pit stop on the coast road, it's the ideal place. The castles looms on the horizon and well worth a visit.

Bamburgh and the castle is well worth a visit, steeped in history with spectacular views. Ideal base for commuting to surrounding areas, plenty eateries, pubs and shops on doorstep and friendly people. Parking can be busy at times and is mostly free.

One of the best beaches I have visited in the UK. I visited the beach during sunrise as well as sunset and got some stunning photos on each of those visits. The beach is quiet, calm and with the Bamburgh Castle overlooking it, it presents a wonderful opportunity for landscape photography.

A very scenic little village dominated by the castle that overlooks the whole area. Good for walks along the coast, particularly to Seahouses. Lindisfarne is a short distance up the coast and well worth a visit.

Bamburgh is a lovely little town, with three pubs, a restaurant and a coffee shop. There is also a small shop and a butchers, but during the 3 day bank holiday weekend when we visited neither appeared to be open. The nearest small supermarket is the co-op in Seahouses (3 miles), but unless you are prepared to pay for parking be prepared for a short walk to it. If you are driving in via Alnwick it may be best to stop for supplies here before heading to Bamburgh. Bamburgh castle is worth a visit, and if you have young children the warrior training session was lots of fun and well worth the £3 per child cost.

My castle view room was absolutely beautiful and the bed super comfortable. I would've been reluctant to leave the hotel at all had Bamburgh not been so beautiful! Also, dinner and breakfast were lovely and both the service and atmosphere in the restaurant and bar were great.

We loved everything about the property, it was so quiet and peaceful, the hot tub was an amazing feature. Plenty of space in the lodge, comfortable beds, clean, great facilities. Fantastic location, 5 minutes drive or 40 minutes walk into Bamburgh. Very welcoming.

The cottage was surprisingly spacious with plenty of room for a group of 4. It is very well situated in being just a short drive to Bamburgh. There is also a nice woodland walk close by, which is very useful if you are bringing your dog.
