I booked here for 2 nights while working in and around Southampton, it was a little further out than I would normally stay as lots of hotels were fully booked. I had a lovely room with a comfortable bed, I slept very well both nights. There were plenty of places to sit with comfortable chairs and sofas, easy to have some quiet time with a coffee and book. The patio area was very nice, overlooking well maintained garden. There was a small bar area, not many tables. There was an indoor pool that was open until late, although I didn’t use it as it was the Easter school holidays, it was busy with families enjoying their break. The breakfast was the best part of the stay, great quality and plenty of choice for both continental and hot offerings. The evening meal was a fixed menu of 2 courses for £25. There were only a few choices, but it was good value and great quality. There were EV chargers in the car park which was very convenient as it meant I didn’t have to search around an unfamiliar area the next day. The staff were really friendly and helpful, even though they seemed a bit thin on the ground and sound more than one job.

The Hotel has great character staff and food. The staff, reception, restaurant and bar are all excellent, the rooms are a little old, dated but thats the character of an old building. Facilities in rooms were very good.

The food, the restaurant and the bar area was a nice space to relax. Food was good. You kindly let me into Breakfast very early at 6:30, as I had to leave by 7am, even though it wasnt normally open until 8am on the Saturday. Thank you.

The property was immaculate. So much better than what we expected. In fact it was spotless could not fault it in any way and we will definitely be coming back again.

It was a really wunderfull place from which we could visit all the spots at the amazing National Park New Forest. Hostess Linda was very kind, helpfull and she even took care of some breakfast for us.
Next to the beautiful site it is very comfortable and complete.
We certainly come back here!
Don’t forget to visit Beaulieu, Lyndhurst and the beautiful Bucklers Hard. There is a nice pub and good food!

Bartley is a good location for travelers wanting to explore the vast new forest. It allows you to start right from your place of stay and enjoy the landscape and plenty of animals/wildlife (deer, squirrels, horses).

The hotel was amazing. I stayed with my dog for four nights, and everything about the stay was exceptional. The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was very comfy. The staff were so friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough to help. I had breakfast and dinner a few times at the hotel and the food was amazing. I had the "Chocoholics" afternoon tea, which was divine. I thoroughly recommend this hotel, and I can't wait to return.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was very kind. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and it was nice, too. The best thing was the location of the hotel, it is almost in the forest. This was our first time visiting the New Forest area and we're looking forward to having another trip there. Our room was facing the forest so it was very quiet.
Very friendly staff who were happy to help and offer their services. Lovely back garden, walking out into the New Forest. Great location for starting our cycling adventure.
We didn't have a dog with us, but the hotel is dog friendly with dog treats and beds available.
Good value for money for a large suite for 4 people and a large and good quality breakfast. Walks in the forest through the hotel garden gate. The evening meal was excellent.
