This place surprises! The best pub dinner and breakfast we've had in the last 3 weeks touring.
They apologised that they had run out of smoked salmon for the free breakfast !!!

Lady at reception was extremely helpful moving her car forward for me & giving me a different room when I wasn't happy with the 1st.
2nd room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked & the WiFi was great.

Lovely clean room, boys enjoyed the free pool and table tennis and darts!
Clean towels, warm showers. Good kitchen we used for breakfast. Lidl over the road for supplies and also walkable to pubs on high street. Very accommodating host who allowed us to stay longer for no extra charge.
Peaceful setting in a beautiful area. We did not go out as the cabin was amazing. The bed was comfy and there was plenty to do with board games a tv and books. Local shops around for you to top up on any essentials and lots of walks and places to see.

The town itself was remote and not much that we found as a 30 something couple to do. However the cabin we stayed in meant we didn't really have to leave. We went to another local town where that was a few more things for us personally. Blaina and surrounding areas would suit people who like to be exploring on walks up hills and mountains.

The local people were so welcoming and helpful.
The local people were so welcoming and helpful. Blaina is a great spot to start exploring South Wales. It's only 45 minutes from the Brecon Beacons for walkers. There are so many historic places to visit like The Big Pit Mine, which is free to tour, you can go down the mine too and its not far from Baina.
