A beautiful inn in the heart of the Cotswolds, The Lamb Inn offers a country-style restaurant and bar alongside its luxurious room and suites.

The location was superb, the room was a lot smaller than we expected, we asked to change but there was nothing available,,the price for the other double rooms were the same as what we paid, but smaller, there were no added extras, maybe a biscuit or small treat in the room. Breakfast wasn’t included and it was expensive.

    Great little village picturesque.

Great little village picturesque. There was some lovely shops and people were friendly. Lots of choice pubs tearooms restaurants bakery shop you can stop in between to have a cuppa and cake. Model Village was closed and car museum closed for refurbishment in February which was disappointing. Lot quieter in winter months which we enjoyed.

The city is exquisite, full of the spirit of the Anglo-Saxon era. Here you will find an exact reproduction of the village in miniature behind the Old New Inn, You will immerse yourself in the wonderful world of cars in one of the local museum, but note that it does not work in winter time. You can taste delicious coffee and fresh local pastries almost at every step. There is a perfume shop in the village where you can find jewellery and interesting local perfumes. You can also visit local stone and candle shops. If you are a fan of photos, here you will find picturesque locations with a clear and rapid river, beautiful bridges. If you are a fan of the animal world, visit the local zoo.

The river flowing through the village was a wonderful attraction. The pubs and restaurants served good food and drink. The shops were stocked with quality British products and we bought some fine clothes.

Bourton on the water is at beautiful village where there were a number of tourist shops and supermarkets nearby. After touring nearby villages I was pleased that I stayed at Bourton-on-the-Water. We enjoyed the Motor Museum.

The most beautiful quaint village with wonderful scenery, lots of great places to eat and drink and fantastic quirky and quaint shops. Chester House Hotel is a first class hotel in a superb location and the Mousetrap pub is highly recommended for a meal. Avoid the fish and chip shop it was terrible.

    So many eateries, pubs, cafes.

So many eateries, pubs, cafes. Lots of walks to nearby villages, and a bus to catch back if too much time spent in pub. It was one of the prettiest places I’ve been to. My friends also thought it was fantastic. We live quite near Derbyshire attractions which are George ours and bourton on the water is on par. We studied where to stay for months and we definitely picked the best. We visited in Novemeber and it was definately wasn’t quiet and I can imagine the summer or peak periods being extremely busy.

Bourton on the water is a must see in Cotswold. We stayed one night. Chester House is perfectly located and has its own parking. We were allowed to park the car in the morning when we arrived - and then we went for a bike ride in the area and spent the evening in this picturesque town. Nice room, nice breakfast. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening, it was busy. I didn't like their pepper sauce and was offered some balsamico instead. The staff was very accommodating.

Lovely little place. Perfect for one night. Great central location in pretty Bourton on the Water. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The host was very friendly and came out to help us find a parking space when we arrived. She also offered us a map and was very knowledgable about the local area. Breakfast was fine. The cosy, homely accommodation, the friendly amenable host, and the stunning cotswolds location made this is a lovely short break.
