The location was very remote. It says it lochside, which I guess it was but we did not see/could not get to the loch. They had a cafe/bar on sight but it was never open when we were there- but they didn’t tell us that! When we arrived- we learned that not only was there no food but we had to drive ANOTHER 1/2 hour to get food. Never saw anyone who worked there (although we heard someone playing music until late at night below us which we suspect was the owners)- even when the fire alarm went off- never saw anyone to clear it. On the other hand if you want a remote location and to be left on your own- it would be fine- just make sure you are self-sufficient. They do have a kitchenette for your use.

Hotel was in great location and staff were lovely. Delicious evening meal and breakfast, and serving staff were fabulous. Decor in room was tasteful and everything was comfortable for the most part.
The Lands of Loyal stands proudly at the foot of Loyal Hill, overlooking the picturesque town of Alyth, 2 golf courses, and the rolling farmland of the Vale of Strathmore.

The staff were amazing, lovely comfortable hotel. Some aspects were a bit dated but it added to the charm. Food was also excellent.

We arrived late at night (around 11:30 PM), but the staff was very accommodating despite our late arrival. The room was clean and the bathroom was like brand new. The neighborhood was pleasant to walk around at night and in the morning we had a great breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.

So remote and high enough to breath absolutely fresh air. Complete pollution free... Hosts were super friendly and accessible all day if required.

Staff were helpful. We were moved to a superior
Room when we complained about the noise.
I would always pay extra as the cozy double was tiny and the noise was awful from slamming doors.
The thing that makes this hotel is the swim area.
Excellent and my son loved it.
Beautiful river walks next to the hotel.

Unfortunately the days we chose, the cafe was closed, however we will return for this joy,
Menu looks delicious 😋
Beautiful tranquil place to lay your head down and listen to the nature outside.
Walk around Lintrathen Loch with our dog, and saw two Kingfishers, and lots of Canadian Geese feeding, flying so low, the sound of their wings was audible wow!
We enjoyed dinner in the Drovers in Memus, a short drive away, recommended by our Hosts,
Food was so good we are taking friends there tonight!
We left Lintrathen, rested and relaxed, thank you 🙏
Would highly recommend a stay there.
