We travelled on foot, as we were walking a section of the Wye Valley Walk. Therefore, we really appreciated the lovely spacious room and bathroom facilities. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the meal we had was excellent quality and there was a lovely choice of things on the menu. It was also nice to have an alternative exit/entrance as an overnight guest, rather than having to walk through the pub/restaurant all the time. We would definitely recommend the Cock Hotel to others. Many thanks.

Host was very friendly and prompt at showing us around. Kitchen is well equipped, including milk, tea, coffee, and even some basic herbs and spices, and the place was so clean and smelled lovely! Would definitely stay again as it would be a great base to explore the local area, especially thanks to the tips booklet the host left out.
Despite our short visit, we enjoyed strolling along the Wye...
Despite our short visit, we enjoyed strolling along the Wye Valley footpath on the Saturday evening, climbed the Pen y fan, criss crossed bits of the Brecon Beacon National Park on foot and by car on Sunday and returned home on the Monday. Staying at Llangoed Hall was perfect, it was tranquil, secluded and quiet. You're surrounded by beautiful countryside and wander their lovely gardens.

We have stayed at Llangoed during the Hay Festival every year for almost 30 years ,except the last two ,of course .As always the staff were both very helpful and and made us feel most welcome. We had a comfortable and pleasant room. Very well equipped bathroom ,excellent shower.
Needless to stay this is a beautiful hotel and a delightful location.
It’s a beautiful, luxurious property. The room was elegantly decorated, and the hotel & its surrounding countryside are a perfect recipe for a relaxing escape. I would more than recommend. Breakfast excellent.
Beautiful hotel. Lovely position. Delightful room and a bathroom where everything works and the shower was not over complicated.
Our first visit and we hope to return.
