Ty Castell Guest House is situated in Caerphilly, 12 km from Cardiff Castle, 12 km from Principality Stadium, as well as 13 km from St David's Hall.

Breakfast was very good, and made specially upon request; Steve was very flexible to meet my requests. The B&B is located in a normal neighborhood with walking distance to some nice pubs and sights to see.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Y Fan is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Caerphilly, 12 km from Cardiff University.

Luxurious stay, excellent value for money. Friendly hosts, superb breakfast and lovely room. Everything about our stay was excellent and we would definitely visit again and recommend. If you like old properties, luxury and getting away from formulaic accommodation you will love this place.

It was only a flying visit for us but we could not fault the place. Heating was on. Beds were comfy and it was decorated to a very high standard. Everywhere was clean and it had everything you needed in the kitchen. Very very close to the town centre so we could grab some food. Easy to find and very quiet street.

The beds were incredibly comfy. Beautiful dining room and lounge too. The old documents related to the property on the stairs were an interesting touch. Brilliant base for exploring the local area.

A roaring log fire and fantastic views of Cardiff and the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan make this hotel and its restaurant an ideal venue.

The rooms were spacious and the breakfast was freshly prepared (rather than buffet style) which I prefer. The coffee in the morning was great and there were of spaces to relax in.

Caerphilly isn't a beautiful town, but it's a great place to stay for stunning scenery half an hour away in the Brecon Beacons. It's ace is the Caerphilly Castle which is the second largest in the UK and should be on your bucket list.

We were there on a Sunday and it was raining pretty heavily. Only a couple of places were open. Luckily we got into YFan earlier and had a lovely rest and a tea while waiting for our room thanks to the hosts. They made our stay more pleasurable.

For business and just an overnight stay, we didn't spend a great deal of time exploring. I would definitely revisit though. Roads are clearly marked and there is lots of car parks or on street parking depending on the length of your stay. Quite hilly in some areas so worth driving around for 5 minutes to find somewhere more suitable if needed. Morrisons has a large car park limited to 3 hours. We visited the Courthouse for an evening meal and would highly recommend this pub. It's just lovely! Plenty of seating both inside and outside, with a view of the castle. Food and drink was good and the staff were polite and friendly. We also visited the Piccadilly for a game of pool. A quieter pub (Tuesday) but both locals and staff friendly.

The property was centrally located with excellent views of Caerphilly castle right across the road. The apartment was delightful; bright, airy, clean and fully equipped. There was tea, coffee, bread and milk left for us which was a lovely touch. I’d highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. There is also an overnight security guard who was so lovely and accommodating.

The property is very clean and tidy with modern appliances in throughout and a tasteful and recent update/renovation. The kitchen and bathroom were superb and the living areas and bedrooms comfortable. The location is convenient for those traveling by car or train (we drove). Caerphilly is a wonderful town and we enjoyed our stay.

Unique and personalised atmosphere, more like visiting old friends in a stately house rather than staying at a hotel. Personal breakfast service is also a special added touch. The rooms are big and a nice combination of old and modern.
