Unfortunately we were disappointed with the hotel, the only good things about it were the location to the stepping stones & the food.
We had to move rooms due to not having hot water & the TV not working, the room we moved too wasn't great there was peeling wallpaper and the shower didn't work properly.
When we went down for dinner you could tell straight away that there was tension between the manager & the other man working in the restaurant, there were a lot of eye rolling & comments made to the customers!!! The menu was very simple & a lot of it wasn't available but we had Fish & Chips which was delicious.
Unfortunately there was absolutely no atmosphere in the restaurant or bar area, so we ended up going to our room pretty early!!
On our way to breakfast in the morning, the lady behind the reception desk was vaping, it wasn't until we said good morning that we were actually spoken too!!! The breakfast was very disappointing we got down around 9:15 am to nothing left, they were very slow in getting food out!!!
The hotel is very outdated, and not worth the money I paid.
Very disappointed ☹️

Very comfortable room on ground floor with gorgeous patio leading out onto fields with beautiful views. Super dog friendly with blankets, towels, bowls and dog biscuits provided. Tasty creative food in the restaurant and a great wine list. All the staff were delightful. Well located for all walking, but not actually in Ashbourne. Car charger was much appreciated too.

We stayed in one of the outside brick chalets, and spent the evenings in the Inn bar and it was all very pleasant. The Inn itself is full of the charm you would expect, from it’s location in the rolling hills, and both Margaret, the landlady, and the staff were lovely and charming too. Nothing was too much trouble. We intend to return at a future date.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!
Absolutely disgusted with this property. On arrival this property was closed: after driving 4 hours had to find a last minute hotel. Now out of pocket as cannot get hold of anyone for a refund. Contact number does not work. Property still available to book on booking.com.
DO NOT BOOK HERE IT IS SHUT!!!
