We had the best stay and the bed was super comfy!! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We were celebrating a birthday and they decorated the penthouse perfectly.

The location close to the Cathedral as we were singing the services there over the weekend. Very helpful and friendly staff. A comfortable and well equipped room. An excellent choice for breakfast and delicious food.

Room we had was spacious and clean. Access to some rooms was more difficult but perhaps not surprising for a character property. Restaurant pleasant and Dinner generally good. Cooked breakfast good but continental breakfast disappointing and clearly the issues commented on by previous guests (e.g. lack of pastries) still unresolved. Staff good - particularly Stacey at dinner.

Our stay was nice. Breakfast was included. I was a bit dissapointed about the breakfast as the main course was so little, and there is no fresh fruits.
If it would be possible we would give the Smithy Cottage 11/10 rating! The owner Michelle takes care of the guests with with love and an extreme eye for detail. The welcome cookies, the shower soaps and the soft and fresh linen for the comfortable beds. There was plenty of information and tips for her guests. The location is superb on the old square of the charming village Chilham, opposite of the White Horse, very traditional pub and over 600 years old.
Lovely location in the centre of Chilham village. The cottage itself is a charming historic building, full of character. The interior has been beautifully refurbished and is an exceptionally comfortable place to stay.
The Old Alma Inn is right beside Chilham train station, so perfect for travel to Canterbury etc. I did however notice a sizeable carpark also. It is a short walk into beautiful Chilham village.
The location of this property is fantastic. On the beautiful main square in Chilham, opposite a lovely quiet country pub, church, wine bar and tea rooms.
