This lady did not cooperate with us at all. She did not want to give us barbecue, which we secretly got. She did not let us use the kitchen to grill chicken and meat. She wanted to charge us for the barbecue gas. This house was more like a guest house than a rural, independent house.

The staff were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond for us.
The view from our room was exceptional we could of stayed for a week looking at it.
The breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice.
The location was perfect - 20 mins taxi into Bath or Bristol
We will definitely be retuning and we will definitely be having our evening meal at the Hunters Rest Inn.
We had a perfect visit - can't fault a thing

I had been working in Kent on the first of April and had more work in Radstock for the next 2 days. Martin was waiting for me to arrive at the hotel after midnight. When I rang his number then my mobile battery died. He tried to call my number but no answer as mobile had turned itself off. I had given up by then.
I was relieved when a man came tapping my car window with a smile introducing himself. He helped me carry my suitcase to the room. I was very grateful and very impressed by his attitude and the single room was clean, cosy and warm, water was also hot. Car parking was readily available and free.
In the past have had to sleep in my car as check in time was up no one would be present at the property. I. have been treated rudely, denied the accommodation and my money forfeited by the owner but did not know who to turn to. These were private bookings in Devon.
I really appreciate Radstock Hotel's gesture of kibdness abd commitment.

The room was lovely, and we could barely hear noise from the pub downstairs. Earplugs and eyemasks were kindly provided by the hosts. Since we had to leave very early in the morning, it was great to have something to nibble for breakfast! I particularly appreciated having fresh milk and juice in the small fridge, along with biscuits and cereal to complement the usual coffee/tea setup. The bathroom was small but cozy, I even took a picture of their tiles because I liked them very much! We took up their suggestions to dine at the pub, and I have to say it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was lively as it was a Friday evening, and both the food and service were great.

I was impressed by the hospitality froim the moment Hannah went out of her way to drive down to meet me in the town centre after disembarking from my bus. That saved me a tiring trudge up the hill . The hotel was also conveniently close to the football ground which was the purpose of my visit even tho the game I saw wasn't up to much.
Could not fault the place. Lovely open fires, the menu had a lot of choices including vegetarian. Nothing was too much trouble and they even sorted some soya milk for my sister as she cannot have normal milk.off the beaten track but lovely n quiet with a walking trail. An overall lovely stay

Everything could not of been better, from the staff to food ,the room & of course the drink . Staff always willing to help. The food was fantastic ( you just have to try one of the oggies ), we used to stay over at the hotel 20 yrs ago & alway remembered it as a nice place so thought we would get away for the day & try it again, although it was a long time ago nothing has changed it is as good now as we remembered it back then. A really lovely place with everything to match from the people to the food.
Located in a very quiet part of the countryside this hotel met our requirements for an overnight stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the Hunters Rest served excellent food and had a good selection of drinks available. The room up one set of stairs was very clean and although the one window over looked the lane to the property there was very little traffic and we slept through the night with no disturbance at all. Excellent stay and would recommend.
We booked the hotel for a visit to nearby Bath, as we couldn't get anything in town with guaranteed parking facilities.
Overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was excellent - much better even than in some more expensive places. And the cosy, pub-like hotel restaurant offered good food.
Lisa, the host is fantastic, very warm and welcoming and lovely to chat to. my stay was great, the room is very comfortable and has the same little extra you’d find in a hotel. the house is located in the lovely countryside and easy to find with plenty of parking.
Lisa was absolutely fab! I was really nervous about staying in someone's house as normally I book into a hotel and she was so warm welcoming. I slept like a log. Will definitely be staying again and bringing family.
