The hotel was beautiful, and the location was wonderful. We were very lucky to have a fantastic room with amazing scenery. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and friendly, which made us feel at home. All the other staff members were great as well. Oscar in the whisky bar was particularly helpful in selecting excellent drams from their impressive collection. we had a fantastic time there. Thank you Craigellachie hotel for making our birthdays wonderful xx

Really impressed with nearly every aspect of the hotel, very professionally run.
Proper coffee and cafetiere in the room was very welcome.
Nice evening meal but breakfast was star of the show, stornoway black pudding, best quality haggis etc all cooked to order with fresh, strong coffee... one of the best ever.

We had an excellent stay. Staff were very welcoming
and friendly without being overpowering.
Beautiful surroundings.
Lacked a little bit in atmosphere but that was possibly due to the time of year. (Early April)
Food was excellent however, we would have enjoyed a fine dining option.
The only criticism (and it’s not really a criticism more of a personal preference), I would say is, that the hotel in general was far too hot. Heating could be turned down to a slightly lower temperature.
Room was far too hot on arrival and took quite a while to cool down.
The Station Hotel is situated in Rothes and features a garden and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Glen Grant Whisky Distillery is a 2-minute walk away.

Due to staff shortages and manager walking out the previous week, the bar was closed, no evening meals available and no lounge. Paid hotel prices for a B&B!

This hotel is very expensive and a rip off, working in the area every month and had no option to use it one night for a stay, caters for the tourists and rips them off, go 10 mins in any direction and get better service and room for half the cost. If you are a tourist more expensive does not mean better, especially at this hotel.

Craigallachie itself is very small.
Craigallachie itself is very small. If you are out and about in the car it is perfect for you. The Highlander Inn was a great place to eat. Aberlour just 2 miles away was in walking distance and the walk along the river was nice. You had to walk along the main road to get to the path though. The cottage is just off the main road but it is quite peaceful. You don`t hear the traffic inside really. Unfortunately we didn`t get to many tourist places as they were still closed.

Close to lots of things to do indoors and out.
Close to lots of things to do indoors and out. Enjoyed the trip even though most of the distilleries were closed. Had a great visit to the cooperage and lots of walks which were accessible and manageable by us.

Absolute gorgeous small country house hotel. Would love to book it out with friends and pretend it’s my country pile - even if just for the weekend! Beautiful room, comfy bed, lovely freshly cooked breakfast. We were visiting our daughter (who cooked dinner for us!) but having had breakfast, would have like to have tried dinner here, as the food was lovely! Great little bar and beautiful drawing room. Looking for a venue for a small, intimate country wedding? Consider this place - your photos will be gorgeous!
The main thing we enjoyed was the Quaich whisky bar and chatting with the staff. The Quaich is beautiful, with whisky everywhere you turn. There’s big comfy sofas and wing-backed chairs, and there’s games to play while you sample the best whisky available. A big shout out to Oscar in the Quaich - never have we met such a kind whisky enthusiast. He’s an asset to the hotel.
A special shout out to Jamie and Parker, the dream team behind the bars at the hotel. Clearly they’ve got it down to a fine art.
