The hotel was beautiful, and the location was wonderful. We were very lucky to have a fantastic room with amazing scenery. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and friendly, which made us feel at home. All the other staff members were great as well. Oscar in the whisky bar was particularly helpful in selecting excellent drams from their impressive collection. we had a fantastic time there. Really impressed with nearly every aspect of the hotel, very professionally run. Proper coffee and cafetiere in the room was very welcome. Nice evening meal but breakfast was star of the show, stornoway black pudding, best quality haggis etc all cooked to order with fresh, strong coffee... one of the best ever.

We had an excellent stay. Staff were very welcoming and friendly without being overpowering. Beautiful surroundings. Lacked a little bit in atmosphere but that was possibly due to the time of year. (Early April) Food was excellent however, we would have enjoyed a fine dining option. The only criticism (and it’s not really a criticism more of a personal preference), I would say is, that the hotel in general was far too hot. Heating could be turned down to a slightly lower temperature. Room was far too hot on arrival and took quite a while to cool down.
