This hotel is very expensive and a rip off, working in the area every month and had no option to use it one night for a stay, caters for the tourists and rips them off, go 10 mins in any direction and get better service and room for half the cost. Craigallachie itself is very small.
Craigallachie itself is very small. If you are out and about in the car it is perfect for you. The Highlander Inn was a great place to eat. Aberlour just 2 miles away was in walking distance and the walk along the river was nice. You had to walk along the main road to get to the path though. The cottage is just off the main road but it is quite peaceful. You don`t hear the traffic inside really. Close to lots of things to do indoors and out.
Close to lots of things to do indoors and out. Enjoyed the trip even though most of the distilleries were closed. Had a great visit to the cooperage and lots of walks which were accessible and manageable by us.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom

Beautiful room, comfy bed, lovely freshly cooked breakfast. We were visiting our daughter (who cooked dinner for us!) but having had breakfast, would have like to have tried dinner here, as the food was lovely! Great little bar and beautiful drawing room. The Quaich is beautiful, with whisky everywhere you turn. There’s big comfy sofas and wing-backed chairs, and there’s games to play while you sample the best whisky available. A big shout out to Oscar in the Quaich - never have we met such a kind whisky enthusiast. He’s an asset to the hotel.
