Breakfast turned-out to be most extraordinary on Wednesday 9th April. I ordered a very simple cooked choice of two friend eggs, one slice of black pudding and some bacon. When brought to my table I was amazed and surprised that the member of kitchen staff saw fit to put the two fried eggs onto the plate! The eggs were way overcooked and looked like
they had been lying around the kitchen for some considerable time - the whites had moulded together into one - the yolks were way overcooked and dry and solid and had each shrunk and had detatched themselves from their whites. I have read great online
reports of amazing breakfasts served at the Seafield - clearly mine was not one of those. The lady server did suggest that the two eggs could be replaced but I decided to continue to just eat the bacon and slice of black pudding. I think the main issue here is that the kitchen operative had pre-cooked too much on Wednesday morning- some of which they decided wrongly in my opinion, was still in a suitable condition to serve. We are all capable of making slip-ups in our lives and at least it wasn't life threatening. Kind regards, Ian M

Great cozy hotel in the center of Cullen. We stayed for one night. The hosts were very accommodating and did everything for us and our puppy to feel comfortable. This is a dog friendly hotel. They also have a bar which we couldn't enjoy but that I'm sure can be a good source of entertainment.

We had a lovely stay at this family-run hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious enough, the bed very cozy, and the price really good value for what you get. All the staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to accommodate every guest’s needs.
Breakfast was busy the morning we were there, and the staff were very upfront about it—they let us know there might be a wait and offered tea/coffee and access to the buffet table while we waited. We were in no rush, so it was totally fine. I appreciated getting lactose-free milk straight away, and when our cooked breakfast came, it was really tasty.
It’s clear the team works hard to make everyone feel welcome, even under pressure. Sometimes things take a bit longer, but that’s just part of a personal, hands-on approach in a busy family-run place. We’d definitely stay again!

Contrary to first sight, the room we had was very acceptable. Comfortable, clean and warm. Mind you, you would need your porridge and ironbru to turn the taps 🤭 The downstairs was also nicely decorated, had the daily roast and it was very good too
Nice cafe, gift shop, views. Good place to explore the coastline.
Lindas fish and chip shop was great. Rockpool cafe for lunch. We enjoyed the Cullen skink (when in Rome!!) and the fish platter.
Great little trading company was a lovely gift shop.
Whale and dolphin conservation , at Spey Bay, was a nice wee find. Set in the beautiful Spey Bay.
Portsoy harbour was beautiful.
Great beaches all along the coast.

Cullen is a great base and highly recommended.
Cullen is a great base and highly recommended. We walked to Portknockie but also drove both east and west to investigate other coastal villages. Views were magnificent.
While walking we spoke to lots of lovely friendly people.
Cullen has some fabulous eating places whether it’s hotels or carry outs. A must is obviously Cullen Skink. We ate at Seafield Arms and Linda,s chip shop but there seems to be lots to choose from.
There were beautiful flowers both in gardens and along the walks. June was a lovely time to come even although the weather was unseasonably cold. Just bring layers. !

Cullen is a bustling village with cafes, mini-market, 3 pubs etc. The one nearest to the property is "The Royal Oak" which serves excellent meals all day. Try the Cullen Skink' many will know of it, just as many will not so for those, it is a haddock (I think) based soup with potatoes --- superb. In Cullen ,Linda's fish and chips are 11/10 and the Ice cream shop gets the same rating Outstanding sandy beaches and lovely walks long short or whatever you want to make of them and paddle boards in the harbour the list of amenities seems endless.

Great beach and lovely golf course.
Great beach and lovely golf course. Be careful to choose the correct accommodation for your needs and avoid being near the main road due to road noise. Would definitely recommend a trip and look forward to returning albeit In different accommodation.

The Rockpool Cafe was a wonderful place to eat.
The Rockpool Cafe was a wonderful place to eat. Very good service and excellent food. Apart from the beautiful beach, the town has an unusually large variety of antique/ salvage shops for its size.

We throughly enjoyed our stay in Saltview. The location was superb with a wonderful view over Cullen Bay. We even took some nice sunset pictures.
We completed some great walks locally and further afield along the coast. We investigated most of the coastal villages.
There were some great eating places locally but as the facilities in Saltview were so good it was east to cook too. Saltview was really well equipped.
My wife and I certainly enjoyed our stay and especially in room 8. This room overlooked the golf course and the Moray Firth . The staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. Our evening meal and breakfast was to a high standard. We would certainly highly recommend this hotel to others. A most enjoyable stay and we will return again.
Strong 4 star hotel. Good facilities and amenities. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and no need to charge for parking in mid-winter. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location, 5 minute walk into town. Would happily stay here again.
Comfortable cosy cottage. Generous host - welcome gift of wine and chocolates, coffee pods, household provisions etc. excellent location with easy access to beach harbour town and Royal Oak hotel at end of road - v friendly with lovely food
Cosy cottage, perfect for a chill weekend in the gorgeous village of Cullen. Quaint furnishings, roaring fire, 10 meters from the beachfront 👌fabulous value
