This 17th century coaching inn has retained many of its original features, including a hand carved staircase and hand painted sundial.

Lovely old style building with cozy comfy rooms. Coffee and tea facilities plus water provided. Also wifi is very good even in the rooms across the courtyard. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Stayed twice now and will stay again when next in the area.

We loved the cosy and quirky character of the cottage. It was well laid out, with everything you might need for your stay. The bedding and the soft furnishings were all lovely quality and the whole cottage was spotlessly clean. It was like a home from home.

I stay at the property regularly simply because of the experience I've had there so far. Everything, the staff, facilities and food are all excellent. The Shepherds huts are amazing, like a little home away from home. And the packaged, take away breakfast in the morning is superb.
Diss is certainly worth a visit. We loved the book shop, the lake, all the high street. A convenient railway station too. You could easily spend a day here in what is a very quaint rural town with a variety of small independent shops.

Diss has no real attractions for the casual visitor but you could use it as a base to visit Norfolk and Suffolk and the Broads. There is a mainline railway station to take you to Norwich, Ipswich and London

We hadn't gone on this holiday just for Diss.
We hadn't gone on this holiday just for Diss. Each of the small towns etc offered a different aspect to our holiday. Diss is about 8 miles away and is worth visiting. There is a range of shops and a beautiful mere area.

It was one of the utmost best stays I had in recent times. Very friendly, lovely couple running the farm / B&B. They enjoy to show one around, showing the animals. They are making an effort to fullfil extra requests if possible. Thank you Phil and Stacey! Cheers, Dag from Cologne / Germany

Diss has a good selection of shops and eating places. There is a large lake called the Mere you can walk round with a Boardwalk at one end. We stayed at the park Hotel which was a short walk from the town centre.

If you are visiting this town be aware, no food after 7.30 on a Sunday and most pubs close at 9pm on a Sunday, caught us out completely as we had been out all day and thought we would be able to eat in the evening. but no chance, some even close on a saturday night at 10pm, I thought we had no back to the dark ages, would not recommend staying here at all

The property is spacious with good facilities and sufficient rooms to allow separate activities. There is ample parking and access is easy. The area is quiet and within easy reach of Diss. The conservatory was much appreciated as a lounge/dinning room.
