Be careful using Satnav to direct to Downderry, we arrived via a verry narrow and very steep minor track/road into Dkwnderry and sat nav kept trying to take me on this road every day on leaving Downderry to visit other places. The views along the coast are exceptional. Whitsand Bay is worth a visit only 10mins drive. The cottage caters well for all your needs. The outside space is exceptional. The is no off road parking but we had no problems parking on the road. There are a few steps to front door. Shower is above a bath. Storage heater in living room so Wood stove was needed. Made it super cosy. There are big glass patio doors in living room so in summer would be lovely to open these looking out at the view. Loungers provided for decking outside. Even a separate outside space next to bedroom. Bed was super comfy, memory foam mattress, I slept so well. Beach just down the road and dogs allowed. A restaurant just 5 mins walk from cottage. I would use the Seaton road to access other places unless heading over to Rame Peninsular, beautiful coastal road.

Downderry is off the main beaten track but handy for a base in this busy part of the country and does not suffer the overcrowding such as Looe and Polperro etc which are close by. The small village hugs the coastline with a few basic facilities and connected to Seaton (Cornwall) .The beach is pleasant to wander along and does not get crowded. A couple of restaurants and a nice pub are in the village along with a typical Cornish tradition memorial hall.

Downderry is off the beaten track - which is a plus for us.

Downderry is off the beaten track - which is a plus for us. The location on the shore is excellent. Our room (the best 'luxury' room at the Inn) had superb views but the shower room was tiny and there was no wardrobe, just a hanging rail. The paintwork/decoration was a bit 'tired'. However the staff were friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant facilities good.

    Quiet location. Ideal for relaxing.

Quiet location. Ideal for relaxing. One pub one shop. cafe and deli/bistro. Limited days opening for eating out so check before you go or be prepared to get in your car if you want a restaurant meal early in the week. Be prepared for very narrow roads. Great beach for dog walking and rockpools.
