The cottage was spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our host left provisions for us which was so appreciated. It’s beautifully quiet there and the surrounding area is lovely.

Breakfast was of a good standard... especially the mushrooms! Parking was easy and the grounds very pleasant. The interior was more than expected...Tudor style and authentic. Beautiful hotel

I was worried when I read the reviews on the train travelling to Farnham. There were just so many of them that were poor. However, I was pleasantly surprised. There were some 'not likes' but on the whole it was ok. Reception was fine with friendly staff. The room was large although the bed was a standard double, surprising in a room of that size. There was a three-seater comfy sofa and a large flat screen TV. The work desk was long with plenty of sockets - in fact, there were loads of sockets in the room. My wife often complains the mirrors are never where there is a seat and near a socket to use a hair dryer - not the case here. Bedside lights and a decent main room lighting not the gloom you get in some hotels. My room was on floor 1 and was adjacent to the car park with a distant view of country side, but it was not noisy. Bathroom: Large, clean, lots of really hot water. Very happy with the bathroom. It had a full size bath and a shower. The Spa: The swimming pool was pleasant enough and typical for many hotels, but a bit small for me as a swimmer. The gym was large with a room for cardio machines and two rooms for resistance machines and plenty of free weights. The restaurant: Menu was ok and the food well-prepared. Staff: All staff except some of the spa staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Location is good and the overall grounds were attractive and had a lot going for them. Lots of conference and meeting and event rooms.

Beautifully located hotel that probably comes into its own in Summer. Very modern bathroom in my room in the single storey annexe.

Fantastic stay as always, yes it's tired, yes it's in need of updating but this comes at the cost of an increased price and losing its charm. Peter on reception is fantastic and nothing is to much of a bother. He is very friendly and a great asset to the hotel. He makes it feel like a home from home
