The caravan was nice and comfortable, it was clean with plenty of space and well equipped, like going to a home away from home, will definitely come back for a cheeky weekend away again! Good location within the park, sea view as promised, good view of lighthouse as well for an added bonus.
So glad we were able to add an extra night onto the stay, no hassle or complications, all details provided in advance with a very handy folder in the caravan to help with appliances and equipment making everything just so easy. Myself and the family really did enjoy our little stay away.

I was telephoned by the host the morning we were due to arrive. He said he couldn’t give me the family room I’d booked as it had a damp problem and he couldn’t get anyone to fix it. He offered two rooms instead which was not what I had booked for my party. We went to see them but I wasn’t happy as one was not en-suite. He told me the family room I hadn’t booked wasn’t en-suite either despite his description on the website saying it was. I asked for a refund as I’d paid at time of booking. He said he hadn’t received the money and told ME to cancel on booking.com and he would agree with whatever I told them and I’d get my money back. NEVER NEVER CANCEL THE BOOKING. I rang booking.com who contacted him and they cancelled the booking as he could not provide what id booked and they also offered to help me find somewhere new.

Where do I start? It’s not a hotel. At very very best it’s a dodgy as hell Air b’n’b.
It starts with a shady entrance doorway, into a filthy foyer, with keysafes whose numbers are simply the room number, repeated. Very secure feeling, that. Then you trudge up several flights of (again, filthy) stairs, past the entrance door to what is presumably a nightclub, to a shady hallway where one in three doors are numbered. Ours wasn’t, but we went for the one with the least polyfilla and scarring and we’re lucky ….ish.
We entered to a dirty room with a bucket of (presumably unused) cleaning products, unmade beds, a random selection of earplugs on the dresser, discarded surgical gloves on the bed, and not so much as a loo roll to be found.
I didn’t even want to rest my bags anywhere.
Genuinely horrifying, and Booking.com - you allowed this place a good rating and prepayments. Shame on you.

Great breakfast and hotel is in a quiet and safe location.
this is such a great place for those of you who like beach...
this is such a great place for those of you who like beach walks and sea air. The location is a great base for both the promenade and town as well as travelling further up the coast for more remote and historical areas. One of my favourite places to go.

It is a quiet location seaview and a short walk to beach. Local bus route to blyth and whitleybay through to newcastle. Also a nice long walk to the lighthouse and coast. A few local pubs and a club in the area.
