Exterior was well maintained in beautiful grounds creating a wonderful first impression. The furnishings inside were tastefully chosen in beautiful color schemes and there was a fresh smell as you walked through to the office.

The location was amazing on the canal
I was arriving at 1:30 messaged the owner (check in wasn't till 4pm as pub didn't open till then) and owner drove to let me in
The Loft offers accommodations in Congleton, 7.2 miles from Capesthorne Hall and 18 miles from Tatton Park. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking.
The staff tried to please . My sister who had travelled from Australia wasn’t allowed to check in early despite the room being available without paying 15.00
Drinks pricey and others put on my account
Very noisy and several guests complained overnight with noise till gone 2am
The hotel itself is good food fine but limited choice re salads and lighter menu options

This place is NOT what it looks like in the pictures.
This place is NOT what it looks like in the pictures. It is a dump. The rooms are old, tired, dated, cheap, ugly, small and uncomfortable. They pictures make it look like a beautiful estate, but in reality this is the facade and they have built what looks like a depressing old person’s home in the back which is actually the guest rooms. We paid £160 for a family room , which was an extremely small room with a double bed and a camping bed with a horrible spring mattress on it that I wouldn’t want anyone to have to sleep on - it was beyond uncomfortable. The breakfast was not very nice and neither was the restaurant. I would definitely avoid staying here if you are looking for a good nights sleep and nice hotel. What a sham. The pictures on website did NOT match our experience at all!

I thought that it was clean and in the right location for me. The very few staff were helpful but usually busy elsewhere. The breakfast boxes were a waste of money ,almost outrageous. I am GF and most of what was in the box I could not eat. A box of snacks is not a substitute for breakfast. We were so disappointed although we had booked for two nights we only stayed one night. I am afraid that Travelodge's are far inferior to Premier Inns

Staff are very friendly.
Staff are very friendly. Only disadvantage is you can hear inside the rooms when walking past and can hear them when you’re in your own room, unfortunately there was a wedding on during our stay so lots of people everywhere and children screaming until late hours of the night, not ideal for a romantic getaway with my partner.
Apart from that, Stunning place and leisure facilities are top notch.

Very close to Jodrell Bank Science Centre which is very interesting. Knutsford close by with excellent walks in Tatton Park, parking fee payable independent from National Trust. Knutsford is an attractive town with plenty of good restaurants and cafes. Holmes Chapel is small but quite attractive with coffee shops. Nearby water at Brereton Lake good for a short walk, particularly for families and dog walkers with refreshments from a van and public toilets. At the time of our visit there were pumpkin family friendly farms nearby open to visitors, some with animals for children to see and cafes with hot soup or locally made ice creams on sale.

Having booked the restaurant for two nights prior to our attendance we contracted the Hotel several days before to confirm our dinner reservation to be informed the restaurant was closed on our 2nd night and it could only offer a Buffett meal on the first night...
The Buffett failed to cater for vegetarian apart from boiled rice, roast potatoes and mixed veg as the main... Salad and soup as a starter... For the privilege of this poor meal with a drink thrown in it cost £25.00 per person...
The kettle in our room wouldn't switch off... We had paper cups,.plastic spoons which melted... The shower was knackered... Our door only partially opened...All in all a very disappointing weekend!!!

We used this hotel to break our journey from the south of England to Scotland. What a surprise. It was wonderful. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi immensely. Room was comfortable and we slept brilliantly. One of our best ever breakfasts .Everywhere was wonderfully clean and the staff extremely attentive. Location approximately 5 minutes off the motorway was perfect . Wonderful historic building set in its own grounds. To top it all it is dog friendly.
we have used this hotel before the staff are fantastic and a credit to DeVere many thanks again for your service the breakfast is top class with only the finest produce in my opinion anyone that books this hotel will not be dissapionted
Comfy beds. Very clean hotel. Staff professional.. Nice pool.,steam room hot tub and sauna.. We found The vicarage Hotel/restaurant 20 mins walk down the road has excellent food and staff. We had a lovely Sunday lunch there.
Breakfast was good.
Plenty to choose from if you wanted continental breakfast which was included.
Price for the cooked food was comparable to other hotels.
