The breakfast was good. I had both the vegetarian and the full English on different mornings. The vegetarian was good but a bit deep fried for me because of the type of veggie sausage used and hash browns, I did ask for a swap but for some reason it wasn't forthcoming, Sunday morning, maybe the morning after the night before. The full English was bang on with a swap for tomatoes instead of hash browns.
Had the Sunday roast. That I highly recommend, good portions, tasty and well cooked.

Val and Derrick were great hosts. Very friendly and approachable.
The room and bathroom were immaculate and had all the amenities expected - tea/coffee, toiletries, hair dryer, towels etc.
Beautiful cottage and quiet so had a good nights sleep.
The breakfast was lovely - all fresh and good quality.

Loved the location and the peaceful countryside. The cottage is stunning inside and out. Could not ask for anything more. The host had put everything in it we needed, so we had everything to hand to cook and live comfortably for a week. Will definitely be returning. Amazing

We were greeted by Stephen and Sharon, who made us very welcome. When we entered the Studio, we walked into the kitchen area, it was fitted out with all mod cons. We were then shown the shower room and when Sharon took us into the living/bedroom, a 4 poster bed greeted us. There was plenty of storage space, for clothes etc, TV with wi-fi. A wood burner fire, if needed. Sharon said if we needed to know anything, there was information sheets where everything was explained. Outside the patio doors our very own patio with table and chairs. A car park space was provided for our use, Sharon explained everything to us and said if we needed anything give her a shout. There was bacon, eggs and milk left in the fridge for us.
Nestled amid 100 acres of parkland, this traditional English country house is perfectly positioned for exploring both the timeless elegance of Devon and the bustling center of Plymouth.

Nice room with spacious en-suite toilet and shower with lovely hot water. Bed especially comfortable. Good location with nice grounds and outside spaces. Hotel was easy to find. Plenty of parking. Its close to the A38, but I didn't find the road noise too intrusive. Menu a little expensive but top quality food. Staff so polite and helpful.

The spa facilities were very good, though a little crowded for the size. The spa treatments were exceptional. The breakfast also was exceptional.

I was looking into my family history, I recommend the local library ,it's a real hub to the community. I had a wonderful afternoon there, I recommend a scones and hot chocolate as well. Not forgetting the brewery, it's a small micro, only open certain times of the week, so look up online first.

We were very lucky with the weather and had a wonderful walk on Dartmoor. We were happy with the local shops and parking. Ivybridge has much interesting local history too ! Near the noisy A38, but this makes Ivybridge very accessible!
We made a couple of trips to the coast from Ivybridge too.

A small town with good shops to browse including supermarkets. Great base to walk Dartmoor & explore the south Devon coast by car. History of American soldiers training for the D Day landings & their inspiration for the film Saving Private Ryan.

Well positioned for walking in the National Park.
Well positioned for walking in the National Park. Just off the main road, so transport connections are good. There's also a main line train station and bus connections. Several shops, pubs offering accomodation, and restaurants. We had a very pleasant meal at Nandons (Indian).
Lots of parking available but some noisy motor bikes.

Honestly, such a little gem in the middle of nowhere. Something you'd expect to pay a lot more for, staff have been absolutely lovely the whole way through and really welcoming. Hotel rooms are gorgeous and spacious with amazing ensuite, as well as powerful fans provided as the rooms have been heating up in the sunshine. Breakfast was great too, can't recommend this place enough!
We have stayed here a few times before and we always feel very at home at the Garden Barn. The facilities and location are great for so many local activities. We find something else every time we come down to Ivybridge. It really does feel like a home away from home.
It's well located on the outskirts of Ivybridge. If the weather had been better, then the private terrace and views would have been lovely!
The hosts were very generous with sharing info and tips about things to do locally.
