In a prime location in the Babbacombe district of Torquay, Rooms At Babbacombe is located 800 metres from Oddicombe Beach, 1.5 km from Anstey's Cove and 2.9 km from Watcombe Beach.

Fantastic hosts, lovely and easy to follow instructions. Shops are just a stones throw down the street and the owners run a tight ship. There is a lovely area to eat breakfast and takeouts (yes you don't have to eat it on the bed in your room). Complimentary coffee and tea in the room with milk went down a treat too !

Lovely place and everything was nice and clean. The place was clean and had a sea view in the room we stayed.

The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Our room had obviously been newly redecorated and this had been done to a high standard. Definitely was value for money. The food at the pub was very good.

I’ve stayed here a few times and never had an issue, I usually am checked in by a really friendly foreign guy that nothing is too much trouble for, this time I was put on the first floor, I am registered disabled so stairs and carrying heavy items cause issues, it was a mission to load my things into the car, and I was not asked at check in if this was ok, it was just assumed it would be. Although there is a lift you needed to carry my luggage up and down stairs, I also had a room with a bath, when I actually ran the bath I could see it was dirty from the last occupant that used it.

We didn't visit Kingsteignton itself, but used the accommodation to explore further along the coast, Bigbury, Burgh Island, Hope Cove, Kingswear and Dartmouth, Berry Head and Brixham. We were lucky with the autumnal weather and enjoyed our days out.

We come to Kingsteighton to visit family, but is also a good holiday base being near the coast. You can walk into Newton Abbott from a path by the Passage Pub. The quaint village Bovey Tracey and Darmoor are very close. Next time we visit we will be bringing children and grandchildren for a proper holiday as well as family visit.
