The staff were friendly and were always available to assist. The food was excellent all around, but the dinner in the main restaurant was exceptional with amazing views (breakfast was also served in the same room). Location was convenient to local attractions.

The welcoming and helpful staff in abundance. The superb location and stunning sea views. The cleanliness and everything you needed and more in our cottage. Food was gorgeous .

Great location, massive deluxe bedroom but tiny bathroom. Photos don't quite match reality unfortunately. Lots of dated, tatty parts (curtains, carpets, wallpaper). Restaurant food was actually amazing! Staff really nice and helpful. However, the spa was a shambles, not allowing access without having someone to open the gate constantly, and the masseuse didn't turn up for our booked as appointments, and no one told us. Unfortunately, hostile guests were there and caused night time disturbances, banned for the 3rd night but should have been banned after the 1st. I did complain and to be fair, the staff were fab and tried to manage my complaint well. Beds comfy. Rooms soooo hot but radiators were not turning off. No fans available even though I was told to ask at reception for one during a previous conservation (I would have brought my own had they just said there were none there whatsoever.) Overall the hotel has fab potential but just needs some good management to match expectations to the price per night.

We didn't visit Kingsteignton itself, but used the accommodation to explore further along the coast, Bigbury, Burgh Island, Hope Cove, Kingswear and Dartmouth, Berry Head and Brixham. We were lucky with the autumnal weather and enjoyed our days out.

We come to Kingsteighton to visit family, but is also a good holiday base being near the coast. You can walk into Newton Abbott from a path by the Passage Pub. The quaint village Bovey Tracey and Darmoor are very close. Next time we visit we will be bringing children and grandchildren for a proper holiday as well as family visit.
