The West Port Hotel is a traditional Scottish pub and restaurant in the historic town of Linlithgow, West Lothian. It offers rooms with attached bathroom with satellite TVs and free Wi-Fi.

The breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and tidy (thanks to Tanya and Carole). Staff were helpful and friendly. The location was good, although a bit of a walk to the station and shops.

Linlithgow Loch Apartment is located in Linlithgow, just 8.6 miles from Hopetoun House and 10 miles from Forth Bridge. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the apartment free of charge....

Location was excellent, view of Linlithgow loch and the Palace. Nice walkway around the loch and a kids playpark nearby. Shops and Chippys and pubs in easy walking distance. Railway station walkable but recommend taxi if you have a lot of luggage, just £4 from the station. I appreciated the 3 bedrooms not being adjacent to each other which gave more privacy. Kitchen large and well equipped, washer but no dryer. Bathroom adequate, liked the walk in shower. Linens and towels clean and not too worn.

With picturesque views over the River Forth, the family-run Richmond Park Hotel is located within its own grounds and is just 10 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh Airport.

Attractive facility with 24 hour staff and PLENTY of parking, both can be hard to find. Comfortable beds and full size baths comparable to US bathrooms. Large room with plenty of space for parties of 1 - 4. Great place for family of four as well.

You must visit the Linlithgow Palace!

You must visit the Linlithgow Palace! The streets in Linlithgow are walkable, so that's nice. Be aware whenever you are anywhere in Scotland on a Monday, restaurants and shops may be closed (I ran into this all over each Monday). Otherwise, Linlithgow is a quaint town with rich history. Go!

    Enjoyed exploring this historic town.

Enjoyed exploring this historic town. Visited the Palace and the museum and the canal basin during our short stay. Next time we would like to walk round the lake and explore the area more. There seemed to be lots of nice looking cafes, restaurants and pubs too.

It's such a pretty town with a wonderful palace with loch that has a great walk around it. Lots of birds to see. Great shops along the high street. Easy to get on train to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Unfortunately the magnificent Palace was closed for repairs but the loch, town and canal were as lovely as ever. I have previously stayed in Linlithgow and remember it well from my boyhood in Edinburgh. The glorious cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling are quickly reached by train but Linlithgow is of course well worth visiting in its own right. You will soon find your own favourite cafes and restaurants and remember the unique sound of car tyres on cobbled streets! So get your morninng rolls and come here. Enjoy.

Beautifully new and clean hostel. Comfy beds, duvets like clouds and everything so clean. TV in the room was an unexpected bonus. Two stops on the train from much-pricier Edinburgh hostels and hotels. Opposite train station and a lovely friendly pub, a Tesco, a restaurant and take away pizza place, a Greggs, you couldn't really ask for more than that.

A very comfortable bed. The bathroom is very clean. The hotel has a wonderful vibe overall. Breakfast also makes you fueled and happy. Nothing I could wish from a hotel. The staff has upgraded a room for free. Well, coming back to Linlithgow I definitely will stay here.

Great location central to Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. Walking distance to Linlithgow Palace. Off street parking and private walled garden. The living area is upstairs with views over rooftops to the Palace.
