Featuring a garden, Llety Cariad is located in Bala, within 37 km of Horseshoe Pass and 45 km of Chirk Castle. The 5-star holiday home is 20 km from Lake Vyrnwy.

Beautiful apartment, with shops just up the road. It had been decorated and furnished to a high standard, very clean and comfortable. Lots of extra touches (milk and butter in the fridge) biscuits, coffee, tea, Welsh cakes. Lots of towels, shower gel, shampoo etc. Lovely area out the back, with a fire pit. Could not have stayed in a nicer place, we met Karl and Helen as we arrived and they were lovely and gave us tips about the area. All in all, would highly recommend staying there.

Last minute booking after being very disappointed with the previous place. Maria and staff could not have been more helpful. We strayed for an extra day. Thank you 😊.

This is great place to taste the real Wales.

This is great place to taste the real Wales. Llyn Tegid is a wonderful location. Bala is fine and easily accessed for more shops and restaurants but Llanuwchllyn is probably the more attractive end of the lake and provides a quieter village ambience. The mountain road over Bwlch y Groes to Dinas Mawddwy is a must and starts just outside the village. Long may Llanuwchllyn retain its language and its culture. Please respect and promote these, when you visit

This is a small village with few facilities but an excellent community pub. The Bala Lake railway station is here and the the lake activities and outdoor pursuits can be found nearby. Do not expect any nightlife - except foxes, hedgehogs etc.

    Tiny village but good location.

Tiny village but good location. Does have pub, petrol station, corner shop, bus stop and steam train stop. Car recommended. Not as close to Lake Bala as we thought. Nothing (apart from village amenities) is walking distance

able to travel out to other areas, only local shop is in pub across road, neighbours have access to there garden via cottage garden, so neighbours do walk pass kitchen window, parking is a big issue with property, we was very lucky the pub across the road let us park for the week in there carpark. nothing really do were cottage is but have walk. so you have to travel out, nice meals in pub only a stone throw from cottage, i would avoid booking any cottage with no parking. is very easy to see whole village in over one hr visited visited water falls, portmeirion must visit for any one llangollen, lovely little village Harlech castle, Barmouth, nice food in cyfnod café and bistro in Bala town. if your prepared to travel there is lots lovely hidden gems.

Lovely clean accommodation very well run and a great location to explore the delights of North Wales. We found some fantastic restaurants including Plas yn Dre and Cyfnod Bistro where they have a real passion for their food.
