Stunning grounds and turn of the century elegance. The formal gardens and Capability Brown landscaping are magical, and the rooms were bright and comfortable. Breakfast was great, with lovely staff. The wine waiter at dinner is also a great character.

A typical British town with some nice pubs and restaurant .... not so much to visit but an excellent base for exploring London, considering the prices here are more accessible so to speak.
On the Internet the town has a lot of bad reviews and some considering a not so friendly place. We stayed here 3 days, we walk also at late hours and is not so bad. I felt safe ....
A tip ! - if you are planning to visit London ( Luton - St. Pancras International) buy the train tickets in advanced, it could be a more less expensive.

Friendly airport staff.
Friendly airport staff. Taxis were hard to get at times had to wait 40 mins seems it was a busy period even though we were in the taxi office.
Hard to get information about bus stops and buses even when we approached bus drivers.
Nice friendly staff in dining areas and good toitet facilities close to railway station

I feel Luton is in need of a massive overhaul.
I feel Luton is in need of a massive overhaul.
But then I’m of an age that remembers London and it’s satellite towns as being somewhat, how can I put this a lot less cosmopolitan.
But nothing stays the same, I’m sure there’s government officials and civil servants that think they’re working wonders at Luton’s quest to be worthy of a visit, but right now it’s not.

Much lower housing cost for a visit to London, if you plan your day well. The cheaper housing + daily train/tube fare is still a bargain. Luton (pronounced Loo ton) airport is delightful. Clean, efficient, with many choices of restaurants after you've checked in. Luton town has a wonderful downtown mall with a wide range of shopping, restaurants, bakeries, etc. Many other restaurants & ATMs in the town.
For those not staying in Luton, there is good train service to London & all city airports.

My home town, lots to do, bars and eateries.
My home town, lots to do, bars and eateries. Travel is easy, airport, two train stations and taxis galore. Large shopping centre with an indoor market and plenty of external shops along a pedestrian only road ( apart from maintenance vehicles )

Great location. Walking distance to Luton station, bus stops, and conveniently close to airport. Can get to London within an hour easy by train and underground so really handy if you dont want to pay for expensive hotels in the city.
Hotel is very modern, clean, and comfortable. Design was very well thought out. Definitely exceeded expectations. We were worried that the room would be too cramped for 4 adults but it was actually quite comfortable.
Breakfast and drinks were decent and not overpriced. Staff were nice and friendly.
The room was beautiful and staff were friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is perfectly located if you are planning a trip to or from Luton airport as it is just a few minutes walk from the station. The hotel acts as a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Luton town centre. It's independently run, clean, spacious and full of character.
I needed a cheap hotel for one night and this was perfect. I was delighted by the brilliant Italian restaurant based in the hotel. Great location for airport.
