Superb room - I think we were lucky enough to get some kind of upgrade as it was a wonderful room.

Amazing location and lovely hotel although woken by drilling in the next door room which is totally unacceptable for such a prestigious hotel. Then asked for a partial refund and had to ring them daily for 6 days to remind them about the refund. Everytine i rang the call went through to the wrong department and different people answered every time. I feel like the hotel and location is amazing but the staff and management need more training in customer service

Rustic location.
Room size is huge!
Vast property and you can easily go for a walk around in the area.
Warm and hospitable property owners.
Value for money.
Location is conveniently located from nearby tourist spots.
Property really "walks the talk" about sustainability. There are minor touches for sustainability such as:
1. Bathroom has an hourglass timer to follow a 4-minute bath, if we want.
2. Electric plugs are hidden behind some carefully placed furniture and not within easy reach.
Special word for owners Kevin and Michelle: they really work hard to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible!
Highly recommend this B&B stay!

Friendly community owned Inn. Good Beer, unfortunately no food available at the time of stay. Facilities were enough for my brief stay during my walk along the Two Moors way possibly too early in the season for the operation to be in full swing. Would like to stay again later in the summer

The drive from the main road is 5 miles up a country lane but the venue is worth the drive.
The South Coast : Torquay, Brixham, Paignton, Dawlish etc are all within a 40 minute drive.
Tavistock is also 55 minutes away if you like pannier markets
Plymouth is about the same
Plenty to see and do

We couldn’t fault our stay, we booked last minute for one night but decided to stay for two because we liked it so much.
The area is perfect for walking if you don’t mind a few hills!
The restaurant was a very high standard and the food was excellent, we didn’t have Sunday lunch but it looked fantastic and we wished we did!

The room and the location were perfect. I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff. A lovely relaxed atmosphere and right on the Dartmoor National Park itself. It was exactly what I was hoping for.

Nothing too much trouble for the owners and staff who worked really hard over the evening we were there.

Overall, we had a good experience here. Firstly and most importantly, the food was very good, especially the specials - kudos to the chef. The pub has a very cosy atmosphere, and so do the rooms which have nice decor and a nice view outside. The location is very good if you intend to visit Dartmoor Park, plus it's a short car ride to the nearby small towns (and Plymouth). Every member of the staff was kind and accommodating.
