We liked just about everything, there were 7 of us for a meal, and we asked for some starters that were not on the menu, and the chef made them specifically for us, the food was ordered one week in advance.

Breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly and accommodating. Owner gave excellent instruction on accessing the property in advance so it made it easy to find in the dark. Basic room, perfect for our one night stay. The views from the windmill were lovely!

We were self catering. Location was good, easy to get to other local villagers and only about 50 mins to coast.

Firstly, the host was superb!! Great communication throughout, our big fluffy golden retriever even got to have a doggy play date with their little Fifi dog 🐶
Lavender lodge was incredibly clean, I've stayed in lots and lots of hotels/lodges/airbnbs etc and there is usually always something missing, but they have thought of everything here, even little treats for our dog. Games for the children, washing up liquid... Oh and we even found milk and bottles of water and fruit shoots for the children!!
The hot tub was an added bonus, the children enjoyed it in the evening and we all enjoyed it as a family the next morning, and as it was my birthday, it was a lovely start to the day.

Location was great, lovely home clean, Lee was absolutely brilliant, thank you Lee.
The only two things which myself would like to see are 1, pressure of the shower to be better, it is a beautiful shower, the pressure left it down.
2, the room on the landing, for privacy, if you can put a curtain around just the bed area, that would be great.
Please do not take this to heart, this was my observation, and what I prefer.

The cottage is pleasant and well equipped but the staircase to all of the bedrooms is dangerous and is not ideal for children, elderly or people with a physical disability. The stairs are narrow, curved and very steep and there is no handrail so the spindles need to be used to steady any ascent or descent and one spindle was missing. The bathroom was on the ground floor was good during the day given the issue with the staircase but was not good at night.

I can't fault our stay here at Cabin Hideaways.
I can't fault our stay here at Cabin Hideaways. Everything was just lovely. Spotlessly clean, super cosy with amazing views. We 100% recommend.
When we arrived Karen allowed us to check in one hour early and on entry we found that there was a supply of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits, water, cereals and all the toiletries that you could possibly need. These little touches were so thoughtful.
We ate at the local Indian Restaurant called Rani's which was excellent. It's hard to get a good curry in Norfolk I find, but we'll definitely eat here again. We all enjoyed it very much.
We were visiting family so that was our priority which meant we didn't get very far. We visited a couple of nature reserves (which you'll find plenty of around here) and they never disappoint. We've also been to Roar with our Grandson who adores dinosaurs. If you do too it's a must. The evening events are amazing, so much fun.
