I liked the location, perfect for work travels when you travel by train.
The shower door was difficult to open from inside. I didn’t appreciate men shouting outside the room nearby, but I understand you can’t control who stays in the apartments since there is no physical reception.
Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Nant Ddu Lodge offers 3-star accommodation in stunning South Wales. It has a spa, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre on site.

The location was exactly what we wanted, plenty to do, walking, beautiful scenery etc. The breakfast was very good, there was a great selection even on the cooked breakfast, vegetarian option and for my partner his favourite kippers. We even extended our stay by 2 days. The staff were incredible helpful and when we wanted to extend our stay unfortunately we needed to be moved to another room as they were pretty booked up they even showed us the room we would need to move to before we booked it. Used the gym, pool, spa everyday.
Perfectly situated within the Valley and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the hotel’s position allows easy access to many of the sites of interest in the area
A new and vibrant hotel,...

Merthyr has certainly changed for the better since I last visited and now provides a lot of choices, with a large Tesco and retail park. The Harvester was disgusting. It provided a good base to visit the four falls walk which was a great experience.

Staying in Merthyr Tydfil at the Antelope Hotel was an ideal base for my motorcycling trip in South Wales.
I didn't go into the Town so I'm unsure what it was like.
For my trip, the weather was great, the roads fantastic and the scenery brilliant!!
So much to see, The black mountain pass, great Welsh villages and Towns such as Crickhowell, Llandovery and Brecon.
Vast beautiful reservoirs with the surrounding countryside reflected in them.
Many attractions to visit, Raglan Castle, Blaenavon Iron Works etc.
If you're a biker you must visit the Baffle Haus bikers cafe on the A4042.
The Brecon Beacons are a beautiful place to visit

We had a car so this apartment was perfectly located for us to see around Wales. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was perfect and the directions to it where very clearly given. The amenities were everything we wanted for our stay and the Host was always available by message. It as very quiet, clean and tidy. The parking spot was right below the apartment and only a few stairs to climb with luggage.

The breakfast is excellent.
The superior rooms are much larger and nicer with a small difference in price but they are definitely worth.

Definitely need a car to get around this area. Not quite the luxury I was looking for. Accomodation and breakfast where I stayed was fairly basic. Quite limited in eating out options too.
Managed to walk the Pen y Fan which was the highlight of my stay here.

Nice town with some lovely places to go for a drink and a bite to eat. Friendly bar with live music at the weekend. Also there is a Wetherspoon. The Zip World was only a 30 min drive away and is fantastic. Great scenery and walks near by.

The Hotel was lovely for swimming & relaxing in the Spa. Massage was great (if a little pricey for back only) Having to book swimming sessions was a bit of a pain but not impossible. Hotel is very handy for walking up Pen y Fan, though the weather was against us last weekend & we had to quit 15 mins, from the summit.
Lovely hotel. Very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated room. Excellent communication and information for an easy check in. Car parking in a public car park just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Great location for discovering the Brecon Beacons.
Perfectly placed for bike park Wales, cheaper than any of the other hotels around there. Also allowed us to bring the bikes indoors over night providing secure storage. For the money it was bang on.
Very nice space, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean! it was so convenient for Bike Park Wales and the shower at the end of the day was exactly what you needed, powerful and hot!!!
Near to bike park wales and all amenities. New linen throughout. The pool table and space invader machine went down well with the kids.
Well equipped kitchen.
