The location was great for a walk along the seafront or a short stroll to the bars and restaurants in the center of town. Staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the manager, reception staff and our cleaner. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. This hotel is remarkably good value for money.
Close to Ayr seafront and a few yards from the town center, Mercure Ayr is a comfy hotel with gym. Free WiFi is available throughout. The Brasserie Bar and Restaurant serves drinks, snacks and meals.

Good cooked selection at breakfast but could have been a bit hotter. Had been lying out on servery for too long.
We found the bed and pillows a little firm.

The room itself was comfortable but its tired and old with needing repairs to walls and doors. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your guest neighbours talk sneeze cough alarm going off etc and the room doors are loud to open close and shake the room a bit. Our neighbours all got up at 5- 5:30 am in the dark with the alarms playing and Nespresso buzzing.
Otherwise The beds were comfortable , and everything worked in the bathroom.

Very comfortable, clean the room is big and the view from the window of the sea is lovely.

What a beautiful B&B! We booked a small room and we were upgraded at no extra cost which was so kind and thoughtful! We had such a wonderful, warm and comfortable stay! If you’re looking for a proper Scottish B&B - this is the one!
I would not recommend this place! My stay was cancelled and I have found out about it after 4 hour drive with 2 children. The owner of place haven't send me any email, message on booking or a text message about cancellation. Very unprofessional and dissapoting.
