The house was immaculately clean, was well stocked with household facilities and the host was very hospitable, easily contactable with great communication.
Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Check-in went smoothly, although (once again, see below) limited numbers of staff on duty meant long waits. Room was ready early, although we had to go to servicing team for an extra cup and a biscuit! Room was clean and comfortable. I was initially offered (and accepted) an upgrade prior to arrival and then this was strangely not available upon arrival. Some strained explanation about the snooker tournament ... if it wasn't available, why offer it?

The breakfast was perfect. The room breakfast room was on the small side.
The Best Western Sheffield City Hotel offers modern accommodation overlooking the River Don. Sheffield train station is a 10-minute walk away and the M1 is only 10 minutes' drive away.
All the Staff and food quality were excellent.
Upgraded to a suite at a cost of £178 Per night. Incl breakfast.
Room was in need of redecorating , floor needed hoovering as covered in glitter. Coffee machine wouldn’t work. General cleanliness of room was very poor. Roman blinds had dropped . No hot water for shower or wash at 5 pm.
Bed mattress topper was lumpy. No means of drying towels in bathroom. Television came on by itself at Midnight at really high volume !
Would have been disappointed at half the price!
Needless to say we will not be returning.

Prior to staying, I experienced irritating difficulty getting through on the phone to talk to a person on Reception. I seemed forced to use the booking sites, which did not allow you to book the 2 night leisure break deal on the hotel website which included dinner on the 1st night stay and breakfast for the other 2 days. I seemed to continuously go in a loop and the only option was to leave a message and my call was not returned! This happened over 2 days. You MUST have an accessible personal contact for a customer facing Service such as a hotel, especially if it is to make use of money saving deals for guests. It certainly would have saved our party some money.
However, aside from small issues, I have very fond memories of Mosborough Hall - I spent my honeymoon night there in 1986. Also, the Hotel hosted a faultless wake for a dear family member which was the reason for the our visit from Cornwall. Very happy overall.

Very peaceful hotel, really relaxing atmosphere, got more then what we asked for plus more. The wild boar next door catering was sublime and the staff were lovely throughout our stay.
